There's some high quality irony in that.

Doesn't change anything about Auburn basketball, we've always sucked.

Still havent seen anything that says chuck bought players. Just that he was paid to steer players to certain agents/advisers.

You should probably read the document again.

Should I tell him? Or... nah. It's fine. Everything is fine.

Recruits, no. Players currently on the roster, yes.

You can find it on pages 10 & 11 of the DOJ document.

It says Chuck got $91,000 from the informant and funneled $18,500 of it to players or their family. IIRC, the information about giving it to the player/family came from Person himself.

An AU employee paid basketball players thousands of dollars. It's not going to be that easy.

It's basketball, so no one is going to get as worked up one way or the other as they would if it were football, but you can't honestly believe it would be over that simply, can you?

Quite frankly I don't want Auburn's basketball program to collapse. I liked the idea of us both being good at the same time.

To be fair, both players were already on the team when the meetings and payment happened. There doesn't appear to be anything related to recruiting the players to AU involved. Not sure that matters much, but it would be cool if we were as accurate as possible.

Honestly, don't even care. Get hammered over it? Ok. Get a slap on the wrist on it? Ok.

It's basketball.

Now imagine if a football coach at Bama set up a recruit's family and a current player's family with an agent and financial adviser. Imagine that coach was paid by the agent to do so. Imagine the coach told the recruit and his family "this is a violation so you have to keep this quiet, but he's gonna give you $5K per month so you don't have to worry about anything until you go to NFL". You'd think that wasn't going to be bad?

I'm fine with it if it somehow meant Jacobs being fricking gone.
