Bert has built highly successful teams on great rushing attacks and limiting mistakes. He's now trying to add a new dimension - a great passing game. What you saw Saturday was the showcase of a great passing game, and either a big step back or simply an aberration in the running game and avoidance of penalties. If it is a big step back in those two areas, then Arkansas is looking at a 6-7 win season at best. If it was simply an aberration, and the running game comes back and the penalties go down to go along with a potent passing attack, Arkansas will make some noise in the West.

Penalties per game national rank

2014 Arkansas - 34rd (5.1/game)
2013 Arkansas - 8th (3.9/game)
2012 Wisconsin - 7th(3.9/game)
2011 Wisconsin - 21st (4.7/game)
2010 Wisconsin - 2nd (3.3/game)

2015 Toledo @ Arkansas: 9 Arkansas penalties

2015 season as of 11/16: 5.3 penalties/game, 2.3 penalties/game over the last 3 games; ranked 28th in the nation in penalties/game

Rushing yards per game national rank

2014 Arkansas - 40th (195/game)
2013 Arkansas - 26th (197/game)
2012 Wisconsin - 11th (242/game)
2011 Wisconsin - 9th (233/game)
2010 Wisconsin - 12th (239/game)

2015 Toledo @ Arkansas: 103 Arkansas rushing yards

2015 season as of 11/16: 197.4 yards per game; 225 yards/game over the last 3 games; ranked 37th in the nation in rushing yards/game

Passing yards per game national rank

2014 Arkansas - 100th (188/game)
2013 Arkansas - 115th (151/game)
2012 Wisconsin - 115th (152/game)
2011 Wisconsin - 63rd (226/game)
2010 Wisconsin - 80th (193/game)

2015 Toledo @ Arkansas - 412 Arkansas passing yards

2015 season as of 11/16 - 263 yards/game, 276 yards/game over the last 3, ranked 32nd in the nation in passing yards/game

I'm gonna be kinda pissed if we go 11-1.

Honestly, ya'll just had a bad game. It happens. You will still have a winning season overall, IMO. I don't make predictions often, and won't here. But I think that was just a bad day and you'll bounce back.

I'd take it. An 11-1 championship season with a loss to Toledo is so Arkansas.

Hope so, but there's a few reasons to think the running game won't be the same (offensive line just wasn't getting the same push, no J-Will, no bruiser at FB).

Hard to gain 515 yds and only score 12 points, doesn't happen often.

look, it wont happen but I would be more than elated with 11 wins.

Heck, I would go to the playoff game and take several friends with me

I would make Sugatown hog a deal he couldn't refuse on those tix.

But I am thinking 6=8 wins max...

The last game I can recall for Arkansas where you look at the box score and go how the hell did they lose this game? Would be against Bert's Wisconsin team in the Capitol One bowl.

I hope you guys can stay optimistic after txtech takes us to the wood shed.

Our line is softer than my peter after a line of that good trailer park dope.

It may not. But good coaches find ways to adapt to personnel and injuries. If Bert is a good coach (and I think he is) hell adapt his game plans to the personnel available and their strengths. You may not win as many as you'd like to, but you'll be ok. Unless you end up with devastating injuries along the lines, that's tough to recover from.

How are your injured players doing? What happened to the guy carted off?

The only way to overcome this loss is to sacrifice that mascot over some hickory @225 for about 18hrs and let Bert eat the whole sumbitch
