I don't quite understand why this debate continues (except for, well, that's what this place is for).
Chubb and Fournette are both elite backs, Michel and Guice have both excelled in secondary roles. I'd probably give Fournette the edge over Chubb and Michel the edge over Guice (as he has had to be "the man" while Guice had not).
Either way, both backfields are stacked and probably the 2 best backfields in the country (assuming Chubb is healthy).

I think both LF and NC, but they really do differnt things.
I personally think LF has that circle B button excitement.
Where as NC is more a DBs worse nightmare, please stop running at me.
They are both great , I do believe that SM makes UGAs tandem the better duo, but it's close.

Worrying about the ranking is stupid when there's no outcome that hinges on whose opinion you value more.
I think as a rule you'd be more confident in an athlete without a history of injury rather than one with a history of injury (assuming they are roughly equal otherwise), but who cares enough to get into an internet fight over that opinion?

I don't see how guys who are coming off injuries can be ranked #1 when you have such a tandem as LSU.. Shouldn't they have to prove themselves again? Shouldn't durability be a factor as well..

I'd like to see him get more touches on kick returns this year too. I think he breaks one
You do realize that the other team has to score in order to kick off. I hope he doesn't get very many touches on kick returns for that reason. Just the one kick off per game would be good for me.

It's a dick measuring contest involving other people's dicks who aren't even present and don't care. Neither of them are posting here so figuratively speaking we can't "whip out" either one much less both. So we're relegated to arguing "mine is bigger than yours" when we know we can't pull them out and measure so it's really all conjecture and will remain so until such time as we actually see each figurative dick next to a ruler and make a definitive judgment.

With both Michel and Chubb hurt, I would have to rank LSU #1. While ITHINK both Chubb and Michel will be ok, there are no gaurantees.
I also understand that Guice, while probably very, very good, is untested. I just think until we see how Chubb and Michel come back it would be difficult to rank them above Fournette/Guice.
Also, if Fournette and Guice put up huge numbers this year, it will be a bad sign for the LSU offense. It will mean Harris has not progressed as expected, and DLs will be stacked against LSU.

Tell them we all said hello. Is there a reason they couldn't say "Hi" for themselves?

I strongly disagree with you.
One of the things I expect to see this year is LSU using HUNH for a couple series each game with the ultimate goal being to get more touches for our playmakers with the logic being that our skill guys are better than most teams we play and that the law of averages dictates that the more our RBs and WRs touch the ball the more the score will reflect in our favor.
I don't have any sources and it's pure speculation based on my interpretation of some vague comments from the coaches, but I expect Les to try to increase the number of offensive plays from around 65-70 to 75+80.
If we average five extra carries per game over the course of 12 games that's 60 more carries over last year, all other things being equal.
If Harris does improve and the passing game starts extending drives I don't think it's a stretch to think we'll run more plays, likely have more yards both in the air and on the ground.
It's if we're passing 40 times a game (like at Ole Miss when we lost by 3 TDs) that we're in trouble.
To clarify, I'm not suggesting LSU will adopt a Oregon or TCU-style HUNH offense, just that I wouldn't he shocked to see it for 2 or 3 series each game, likely in the late first or second quarter. We actually experimented with this last year but for whatever reason didnt stick with it. This year, I expect it to become a staple of the offense for a couple of formations for a couple of series each game.

Agree with all of this

No one hypes up unproven players like LSU fans. If you asked half the fans in this conference who Guice is, they would have no clue.
That being said, Chubb and Michel are hurt and have been hurt so until they return the correct answer is that LF is better than both.
I'm taking a healthy Chubb over Fournette everyday of the week.

If you were looking for some confirmation that you are not a complete idiot, you won't get it here. To put two guys that are both coming off of an injury above fournette and anybody is ridiculous.

I think the reason why Chubb/Michel is over LSU is becuase both of our guys have proven to be able to carry the load at RB, while Guice hasn't, although it is probably safe to say that he could. Michel proved it last year when Chubb went down and put up some of the best runs of all season (that run vs Tenn was just sick nasty).
I don't know too much about Guice, but I honestly would rank both Chubb and Fournette about even. Both are bruising runners and Fournette **may** be faster but Chubb has the better feet and jukes without losing much speed at all. Chubb's vision is also elite but I don't know about Fournette or Guice (haven't seen too much). Both will be a force this season. However it was interesting to note how Fournette started off hot but then sizzled out. Don't get me wrong he still did great, but considering how LSU fans on here act, one would of thought he would of done better to finish the season.

He went for nearly 200 total yards against Ole Miss, 200 total yards against aTm and over 250 total yards for 5 total TDs in the bowl game.
Wtf are you talking about.

"Leonard Fournette smashed the LSU record book in his first full season as the starter and emerged as the nation’s best running back"
I believe the Doak Walker award is given to the best running back in the nation. And Fournette didn't win that. So, yes, you are off base.
