All this Fournette made the wrong choice, didn't get a ring, didn't get a Heisman nonsense.... well here is a stat just for you =)

A fact that is true from now all the way back to Alabama's first ever snap of the ball.

Official NCAA Rushing Champions for the University of Alabama: None. Zero. Not ever had one ever never ever =)

But Leonard Fournette won it last year. Over Heisman trophy winning D. Henry. Guess his choice was ok.

Fournette is a great back and likely to have a great pro career. He certainly wasn't a disappointment in college. Frankly, it's a pretty big complement to the Bama defenses that they were able to keep him in check.

Good luck in your bowl game.

Alabama has four rushing champions (in any of the three categories recognized by the NCAA).

When they are old and gray LF can think back in his head about that time he had the most rushing yards while DH can get a rag out and polish his national title ring and Heisman.

The only other NCAA rushing champion from the SEC was Frank Sinkwich from Georgia in 1941.

In remembrance of the LSU fans' rallying cry during the offseason of 2009:

No hardware.

The NCAA recognizes three categories. Rushing yards, YPC, and TDs.

I didn't say NCAA ypc or NCAA TD champion. I said rushing champion. Prior to 1970 that meant total rushing yards and thereafter it meant average yards rushing per game.

Alabama has zero running backs that have been NCAA Rushing Champions.
