Calculated on what? Not facts...not sure what to tell you.
You should have your best playcallers in the box, best coaches on the field. I mean you could have monkeys up there and call the same terrible plays over and over again if you out talent everyone.

Sabans opinion

Position coaches are better served coaching their individual positions on the sideline between series no?

Lane kiffin calls plays from the sideline. He's good at his job

Aranda called plays from the sideline at WI, he's good at his job.

Les is just going to have that all on the sideline this year.

Do I agree with it? Not really, but there is no "science" or facts that it won't work. Just opinion. There will be someone in the box relaying any information a DB coach, or OL coach would to a sideline OC or DC.

Wtf are you even doing talking about having monkeys in the booth. You are just going on some extreme rant. Grad assistants can describe a formation just fine, better than monkeys I promise

If we don't win 10 this year it will probably cost him his job. Its a worth while gamble if he feels comfortable with it.
So keep the coaches the same and fail to win say 10 games or so and be fired, or try something different and it either works or it doesn't.

its no secret Les has never been an X and O master mind like a saban. He is a loose cannon. When he wins its big, when he loses its frustrating as frick.

Les should make the coaches get in on the pregame big cat drill

Our coaches records say otherwise and only very very recently have our coaches lost more than a few games. Do you not remember when your coach went winless in the sec??? I do and our coach has never come close to winless in anything.

Who was were the eyes in the press box for kiffin and smart at Bama?

This has me curious now. It seems like the issue everyone has it all official coaches are on the sideline.

Would a Grad Assistant have any trouble identifying formations or tendencys for the coaches?

Then why would LSU consider changing anything?

Maybe they are trying an approach that the two best in the business agree with

If it doesn't work just go back. I mean Les has been the second best coach in the SEC since sabans arrival. Maybe emulating Saban in this category will help him, it clearly can be beneficial

I want Les to follow Nick even if it is 5 years late on giving most of the O to the O staff

Nick and Les are very close on game day to being the same coach and yes Nick has 4 rings in the last 7 years - I know

The way they build the team is not the same - the result on game day is close - the difference has been Nick giving control over to O minded folk

Man you sure know football
Cam Cameron has always preferred to be on the field, some coaches just feel the game better and can actually see what's going on just from a relay of what defensive call they are in at the snap and that can be relayed by pics or how ever you like. Lots of coordinators prefer to be on the field. Geez lol anyway y'all can try to prove LSU has terrible coaching y'all TRY but it really sounds desperate. I'll tell you what happened to LSU and it was early departures. If that stops again this year and becomes a trend watch the frick out. LSU will be back and ole Les won't look so dumb after all.

This will free up space in the Press Box for Alabama's 237 "Football Analysts" in November.

Know all those coaches that get run off somewhere else that get hired to a non coaching position at Alabama? THEM.
Saban's personal Fired or Busted Coach Reclamation Center. Seems to be working rather well, I'd say.

BayouBengal99

hey dude - Les can drive us all crazy at times and we are tired of the Bama Arky Ole Miss thing going on but Les can put a dam strong team on the field

I am very excited about the hires he has made and the new blood he has coming in this year and the next couple of years

We have 3 nice SEC QBs on the team this year with 2 more big time QBs coming in next year - this team is loaded and has great leaders to hold the young pups together. Since the aTm game nothing but good has fallen on Les and just one more time for all the aTm dudes. Les got carried off the field after the aTm game because of player love of a coach - nothing to do with beating aTm.

Bama has a strong hold on the SEC and college football and they deserve every win they get - they beat you down and win the game !!!!

Bring it to Baton Rouge this year Bama but I have told myself over and over - one week at a time

Harris said he prefer cam on sidelines. They did it for the bowl game. Don't see an issue

Aranda has always been on the sideline. This is a non story

It could work very well if the jr staff can ID weaknesses

All the GAs have to do is play the role of a spotter and see if the opponent is doing anything that is different from what they prepared for during the week. They may also be asked to look for specific things that are anticipated from film study (i.e. certain blitzes, safety moving up, and generally offensive and defensive alignments.

I just think Les knows what he has and can do with what he has and won't try to do what can't be done by the current personnel. He now has the right pieces to take chances and do the things on offense that a veteran team can. Sure you may get a really smart and talented QB that can handle more than the norm but I would like to see bama or arky or OM go thru the same early departures that LSU has and see what the results are like?? Bama may run into this at some point?
