at one point every philosophy was a guess. The spread wasn't science when it came about. Someone tried it and it worked.

I'm sure les just got drunk one night and did this. It wasn't a calculation at all of looking at the jr staff, putting them through paces on making ID of strength and weakness.

Harris stated he is more comfortable with cam on the field. Aranda must enjoy being on the field as well and he has had no problem calling plays to make elite defenses so i don't see an issue with that.

Grimes and ED O bring fire so neither of them should be in the booth. I guess we could put BDP up there but he is better off not being in the stadium.

Calculated on what? Not facts...not sure what to tell you. You should have your best playcallers in the box, best coaches on the field. I mean you could have monkeys up there and call the same terrible plays over and over again if you out talent everyone.

Stop trying to act like you have a single clue about where to put coaches on gameday. But thanks for showing everyone how dumb you are.

no way, random arky poster on the rant knows better about how our coaches feel the best operating.

coaches wanted to be allowed to pick player rotation on the fly

So again, instead of using stats and measurables, lsu coaches are going to go with who they "feel" are better?

This explains the q.b. situation at least.

yea because we can't have JR staff pipe in stats and situation from the booth, while our coaches make the changes on the fly.

Then again you know better than Dave Aranda who has put up top 5 defenses year after year.

It's a make or break move, honestly. I just don't think it will work. I mean, there is a reason why virtually every team in America puts their offensive brains up in the box.

Okay stats can be used on computers. Do you really think coaches are making tally marks up there?

Theyre looking for weaknesses to exploit. You want your best eyes up there, not some ga s who can blame their failures and play calls on their superiors.

Honestly it just sounds like les calls the plays based on emotion and routinely gets shite on.

yes it is embarrassing that we have lost to arky twice in a row. These things happen though, this isn't a video game.

we only lose to conference foes that are worse than us. unlike arky we rape the ooc teams we play in the regular season.

Les- more titles than bert
cam- well he sucks
Julukes- doesn't suck
Craig- jury still out on him
Grimes- has his up and downs, I wouldn't say he sucks.
BDP- sucks dick
Ed O- best in the game
Aranda- clearly one of the best
Raymond- widely regarding as one of the best
Ensminger- useless

so 1 suck, 1 useless, 1 that is average, 1 that jury is out on, 4 that are some of the best, and the mad hatter.

when I am at the game and the same shite is going on and you know what I mean - 1st and pitch left 2nd and 7 check off pitch left and 3rd and five the pass to the flats for a 3 yard gain

BDP is always the one that runs up to Les like he has a better idea !! At least Les might have some better info coming his way

you are the one that brought up stats and trends. So why bring it up when its easy to see JR staff or even non football people can handle that part.

Im sure les just said frick this and doesn't trust the JR staff to do this. Im not sure but JV might be one of the JR staff up there. He knows how to read a defense for weaknesses

I'm not really sure what you mean by this, and I am not trying to get too weird for this board, but intangibles still constitute reality. Leadership for example is an intangible, meaning it cannot be measured quantitatively like passing yards or speed, but that does not mean it is any less real.

Bama's had both their coordinators on the field since Lane got there. He pretty much plays QB from the sideline, the actual QBs are just his video game players.

Yea. People call him an idiot for doing the same thing over and over again, being stubborn, etc.

He's actually trying something different. Frankly, I could give 2 shits where the coaches are as long as the offense scores as many points as possible and the defense holds the other team to as few points as possible.

Just win baby.

no way brah, arky posters told me that lane can't be smart because he is on the field.

Lane seems to see the field just fine considering he is celebrating touch downs before they even happen.

I like that cam moved from the booth so he can talk to Harris. Its clearly worked for Bama with Lane.

I can see maybe Ensminger in the booth for us on offense. I would rather cam and the position coaches that matter be with their units.

On the D though i don't really know of anyone id want in the booth considering I want Ed O being a mad man on the sideline.

Good point and coordinators can go either/or in terms of booth/field.

As I move to the crown on the rocks and a hot bath - it's a old man thing

The boys - young men - have been recruited by these guys and all week they are coached by these guys - as the war is going on it does make sense that the one coach they want to see and hear from is their own coach. why not

it only takes one key guy on O to tell the O staff on the field what is going on

one key guy up top to tell the D staff what he is seeing and it is not like they can't see most of what is going on at field level - plus they have the players telling them what they are having issues with

I give it a good go and lets see what happens

say what ???? I listened to Les today on radio say that his coaches wanted to be on the field so he is going to give it a try. Jr staff will be up top and if it doesn't seem to work out he will make changes

Wow. If it doesn't work out it might cost him his job.
