Alabama's Pass Defense Versus Decent Teams

Alabama has a great defense. I don't feel that there's much disputing that. However, when you look closer at how the Tide have fared against decent competition this year, the numbers aren't as impressive as one might think.
Here's how the opposing quarterbacks from Wisconsin, Mississippi, and Tennessee fared against the Tide this year:
Joel Stave, Wisconsin-
26-39 228 yards, 2 TDs & 1 INT QBR of 91.9
Stave actually posted his second highest QBR rating of the season vs Alabama 91.9 (his highest was 92.0 vs Miami Ohio. Stave's average QBR for the year is 60.2
Chad Kelly, Mississippi
18/33, 341 yards 3TDs, 0INTs, QBR of 94.8
Kelly, like Stave, posted his second highest QBR for the season of 94.8. Kelly's QBR average is 76.8. Whereas he has thrown multiple interceptions in 4 games, he didn't thrown any against Bama. Note that Kelly is currently ranked #20 in the NCAA for QBR. #19 is Brandon Harris.
Joshua Dobbs, Tennessee-
13-22, 171 yeards, 1TD 0INTs QBR of 83.7
Dobbs' outperformed his normal QBR average of 75.5
I don't feel that Brandon Harris has to have an amazing game in order for LSU to win. He simply needs to do what he's done all year- make good decisions and not turn the ball over.

Didn't watch the Wisconsin game, but Kelly was the luckiest son of a bitch on the planet.
Dobbs numbers look better than they are, Bama dropped at least 2 interceptions.

Harris is gonna fillet that piss poor secondary.

Yeah, they're just like last year. Don't worry.

If Fournette doesn't run wild, Harris will have to throw for 350 with no picks.
Don't kid yourself.

Where's aTm? Is Top 25 not decent enough for your stats?
A&M is a dumpster fire at this point having replaced their starting QB.

I didn't say that. I'm just posting facts. Feel free to get offended, if you choose.

Is LSU remotely similar to who they were last year?

...and don't forget Chad Kelly had 66 yds off a ball that bounced off a helmet and 73 with an illegal man downfield about 9 yds that would be called if they played today now that attention is being paid to it. Now if you can have these things happen....

Bama did a very good job of shutting him down.

Note that Harris is currently ranked #94 in the NCAA for Passing YPG

First of all, stats are for losers. A person can pretty much allow the numbers to say whatever he wishes.
Perfect example is Chubb rushing numbers vs Bama. I see lots of posters citing his yards as if they actually mean something relative to that game.

I think LSU wins this game by 3-10 points but I actually think LSU is about 14-21 point better team.

I don't agree. Kelly didn't throw for 350 yards and their run game is completely absent. Bama will not stop everyone in our backfield. Fournette or Guice will break out.

I don't know. I'll have to check the thread where that's being discussed.

Lol. Jordan Jefferson beat Bama twice and Jennings almost beat a playoff bound Bama team last year. Harris is gonna look like a young Johnny U. Carving up that joke of a secondary and leading the tigers to victory. Bama fans, make sure to hide your family members' guns. Gonna be a lot of pissed off gumps on November 7.
