It is if you are a bleeding heart liberal who wants the country to live under socialism. There is more great living areas in Alabama then any of those great places on their list.

Huntsville is the technology and defense center of the South.
More navigable waterways than any other state.
Some of the lowest property taxes in the Country.
Auburn is ranked #2 in the country for retirees.
Top 10 Medical Facilities(UAB) in the Country.
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are ranked some of the best beaches in America.

If you love Hillary Clinton, then you might hate Alabama. We know why NBC is failing.

Alabama may not be paradise but if you scrutinize the rankings its of little importance to me that the state rates "poorly" on transgender stupidity and gaynaminty safe sanctuaries.

Sweet home? Not if you are over 50, a minority, gay or transgender and you are concerned about discrimination. Alabama is one of only five states with no statewide legal protections for those groups, making it one of America's least inclusive states.

But they also explain why this is America's fattest state. It is also among the most dangerous, with the nation's highest murder rate. New Orleans alone logged 175 murders last year, the most deadly since 2012.

So Bama hates the freaks, but Louisiana is where the fatasses hang out and wait to get murdered. Hmm

Glad I live in beautiful, serene, lawful, normal, wonderful Florida.

Amen Brother. The things that Alabama doesn't have that make it a bad place to live,in their opinion, are the reasons that make it a good place to live, imo.

I admit that with Arkansas ranked 4th I got a laugh out of CNBC picking a photo from Bentonville, of all places, to illustrate how bad the state is.

Bentonville, along with the rest of the Ozarkopolis (Fayetteville to the Missouri border) routinely lands in the nicest places to live in America. Strong economy, low cost of living, and quality medical care.

With all the places in Arkansas you could have used to make a point about it being one of the worst states to live in... they picked the one area where you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a millionaire.

For such top flight political material, your obsession with Alabama is impressive.
