Throughout the Bama/UT history, there have been several consecutive winning steaks.

Bama
1. 7 game consecutive win series during the early 19th century (1905-13)

2. 11 games during Coach Bryant's tenure (1971-81) Longest streak.

3. 7 games during the 80's and early 90's (86-92) Would have been 9, but Bama had to forfeit 93.

4. 8 games currently during Coach Saban's tenure. (2007-14)

Tennessee
1. 7 wins during the Fat Fulmer years. (1995-2001) Franchione broke the streak.

Coach Saban's current winning streak is Bama's 2nd longest against Tennessee.

Can Coach Saban tie and then beat out Coach Bryant's winning streak of 11 games against Tennessee? He would have to win this year and next to tie.

Seems like outside of that streak, they've only managed a few 4 game streaks vs Alabama.

Kind of lopsided.

Vols actually have several 4 gem win streaks iirc. TSIO is likely the streakiest rivalry in all of college football history.

This. Also, I'm not gonna look it up, but has any other team had a 7 game winning streak vs Bama? Ever?

I think ND had a perfect 7-0 record vs Bama before we trashed em with Lacy and co.

Y'all tied us in 93, so even if you reclaim it, it's not a win.

And I don't want to look it up either but I think over a 30 yr span (maybe longer) up through the early 2000s the TSIO had a 4 game streak going one way or the other. It's a main reason I hate UT so much. Hate passed from your daddy's knee. It really sucks losing to someone that many years in a row. I have enjoyed every minute of the current streak. It will end one day, I just hope it's not thus coming Saturday.

As of 1970, the series was dead even. It's streaks 2-4 that have given Bama the big lead.

Here is the list of Non-Losing (Win & Tie) streaks for each team.

1901 - Tie
1903 - Bama (1 win)
1904 - UT (1 win)
1905 - 1913 - Bama (7 wins)
1914 - 1929 - UT (3 wins)
1930 - Bama (1 win)
1931 - 1932 - UT (2 wins)
1933 - 1937 - Bama (4 wins with 1 tie)
1938 - 1940 - UT (3 wins)
1041 - 1945 - Bama (3 wins with 1 tie)
1946 - UT (1 win)
1947 - Bama (1 win)
1948 - 1953 - UT (4 wins with 2 ties)
1954 - Bama (1 win)
1955 - 1960 - UT (5 wins with 1 tie)
1961 - 1966 - Bama (5 wins with 1 tie)
1967 - 1970 - UT (4 wins)
1971 - 1981 - Bama (11 wins)
1982 - 1985 - UT (4 wins)
1986 - 1994 - Bama (8 wins with 1 tie)
1995 - 2001 - UT (7 wins)
2002 - Bama (1 win)
2003 - 2006 - UT (3 wins with 1 vacated game)
2007 - 2014 - Bama (8 wins)

Notice how few times either team won just 1 game. It has been a series of streaks...Bama currently leads 51-38-7.

So why was the Tide cheating, cause they couldn't man up against the Fat Bastard?

What is this thing Bama fans have about ignoring all of their cheating ways? When you get caught cheating, just fricking OWN IT.

UGA/UF is more so, IMO.

1904-1954:

UGA went 25-7-1

1955-1970:

UF went 11-4-1

1971-1989:

UGA went 15-4

1990-2010:

UF went 18-3

2011-present:

UGA went 3-1

the whole damn rivalry has been nothing but streaks.
