Emmons was expected to compete for carries in Alabama’s loaded backfield this season after enrolling as one of the nation’s best running back prospects in the 2016 recruiting cycle.
News of these transfers was first reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com.

Not surprised by Emmons. He's stuck behind a lot of talent and a lot of young talent at that.
Surprised by Robinson. I thought he'd get a chance to play this year. It's also not a good thing to be losing corners.

He got hurt, fell behind too many guys, and Najee Harris came in. Best-case he was probably fifth on the depth chart for the coming season. I do wish we had gotten a chance to really see him run, but I'm sure he will get a good opportunity with some team.

Good luck to both of them. I understand the desire for playing time but don't get why they don't bust their asses to improve so that they would maybe have a chance to get more time on the field.

Interesting - Robinson got some PT last year and I expected Emmons to give it a go. However, makes sense for Emmons.

How many Blue Shirts do you have? Article said this took it to 85 scholarships, not counting blue shirts.

The article is just guessing since we don't publicly release who is on scholarship.

Probably. Dude is talented, just got hurt and Harris, Jacobs and Bo took off. Add in Najee and Aaron Robinson and it was a tough climb to make back.
