As near as I can tell, it means he hates championships.

Like many QBs today, they look great in helmets and shorts playing 7 on7.

That's just Bench being himself. Been going on for years.

He hated on McElroy, McCarron and Coker.

I think he firmly believes he can evaluate QB talent better and knows who should be starting more than the staff does.

Good point. Alabama has just been terrible the last two years.

At this point, if I was an Alabama fan, I'd be more worried about the deep snapper than QB.

It's a damned shame that an LSU fan can see this but a great number of Bama fans cannot.

assuming sarcasm, but if not, it must be awful to see mediocre game managers win national titles. i'd much rather see a QB having growing pains and lose games early on instead of win

based on what exactly?

Nothing. The douchebag thinks he knows more about selecting a starter than Saban and Kiffin.

I thought BenchMcElroy loved AJ McCarron.

Wasn't someone reporting that Alec Morris was going to start at some point before last season?

Barnett has had problems with turnovers, not ability. Barnett is the most talented on the roster. The fact he is still in the mix after having 5 turnovers and Hurts is not should speak volumes.

There was some buzz over him at the start of fall practice, but I think most people expected Coker to win the job. Most of the buzz over Morris was he had been in the system a few years and had been labeled a game manager. Then they had him punting some at practice.

I don't have a dog in this, and obviously hope your QB position works out poorly, but that response is pretty spot on for bama these last few years.
