I think you might be confused, you are thinking of the "fambly". The cult that resides down on the plains. The REC is more organized and powerful but with less goats.

But I did hear they had some sexy goats........

Only reason he got to keep his math job was Bama wasn't sure what that was

Tenure doesn't exist in the south/midwest. Teachers are performance reviewed currently regardless of previous experience.

The REC inherited their rites from the Illuminati.

I think this is ridiculous on a couple of levels.
First, there should not be a difference between an office and a committable offer. If you offer me something but I can't accept it then is it really an offer? In recruiting this leads to players not knowing if they have an offer or not and I firml believe that Harris thought he had an offer when he really didn't.
"offer" in recruting means about as much as "commit" does - pretty much nothing.
As usual, Saban is a master at using and stretching the rules as far as he can and much furthur then anybody else.
The problem is practices like this won't change unless people stand up to them. This coach tried and got fired.
And I now offer and committable offer are not just bama, but most schools. bama just stretches things a lot furter then others.
The coach had a good point in that an offer should be clear and time limited if wanted. "Here is an offer to play QB at alabama. You have until x/x/x to accept or it is withdrawn".

Pretty low of them IMO
Pretty stupid of you to think the coaches at Alabama had this done.
A coach made a unilateral decision that falls in the realm of principal duties, not his. He got fired for acting like the big man on campus.

until NS or the player in question comes out and says what the offer is we have no clue. There are a lot of offers that go like this. We really like you but right now we have 2 QB's ahead of you that have an offer. All 3 of you have until X date to commit but if the two ahead of you accept then we will take you as a preferred walk on or as a gray shirt. This happens at all schools including that chit cow college you pull for and if you don't believe that then you are a true effin DA.

Someone will give him a job. It just adds to the list of butthurt/crybaby things Saban has done.
Reading comprehension is low among Auburn fans, huh?

The incident was the “third or fourth” for Feaster and ultimately his undoing.
In 2012, Feaster, disappointed in the attendance of rival fans during his first year at Parkway, forbid visiting radio broadcasts, saying he simply had the “best interest,” of his players and his school at heart.
In 2014, Parkway failed to make the playoffs for the first time in 10 years when the Panthers were forced to forfeit five games for playing Rogers, who was an ineligible freshman backup.

he was probably on a short leash and this was the final straw.

If they were that direct and specific about it, I'd have no problems with it but I don't believe for a minute they were. I think he thought he had a committable offer until he came to camp and then was told he didn't.
Schools need to be more up-front with kids and I don't think bama was in this case.

I can promise you something DA that if a tenured teacher in Alabama told their supervisor to go Eff himself/herself, they would have cause to fire you.
Certainly, which was my point. Teachers are held to ridiculous moral standards compared to the general population. When I was teaching, I had a student that had gotten into a fight that if he kept up this behavior, he would likely end up in jail. Apparently, this was considered a threat, and I almost lost my job over it.
My reference to telling a supervisor to frick off is in my current career as an orthopedic surgeon (NASS). You could say it is a rank thing, but even my good techs have done similar.

He wasn't on a short leash. I can confirm.

if he was not on a short leash then why the firing. Apparently this was not the first run in with his superiors. If a HS in LA fired a coach because he offended NS then they have serious "man card" issues. So since you know, what got him fired if he was not already on a short leash..
Regarding tenure laws. with tenure or without tenure you deserve to get fired if you tell your supervisor to go eff himself. This is in any profession. I fired a subordinate working for doing the same thing. She filed for unemployment benefits and we protested and had a hearing. She was denied benefits.

Bossier City is ultra-conservative/traditional. The school he is at already has a history of controversy in recent years with publicized bullying making the national news and with a fiasco resulting in the former principal having a coach escorted off the field in hand cuffs after the coach refused to abide by school's request to leave the field at a certain time.
They have a new superintendent and a new principal. I certainly do not think it warranted being fired, but school systems are best known for notorious disastrous leadership/administration with zero understanding of personnel management.
