Bama fans,

If Saban retires right now (rides off into the sunset as the greatest coach ever) and Alabama has to hire a SEC coach.. Who is your top 3 short list from the conference's active coaches if you get a choice?

Humor me at least

I would go outside the SEC to hire a head coach. Art Briles would terrorize teams in the SEC with Bama's talent and resources.

We don't need a coach short list. We've got the best short coach there is.

If I had to pick an SEC coach? IDK, maybe Gus or Muschamp. I'd really like Shaw from Stanford though.

OK humor...
If I had to pick one off the top of my head I would pick Shaw from Stanford.

But once upon a time fans clambered for a coach and got Dubose. I'll let smarter people choose the next coach in 10 years or so.

Bad choice for a HC. I'd like it as an LSU fan, but wouldn't end well for Bama.

Now nobody humored me with a Freeze selection.

Alright, I'm back to Grand Theft Auto. Thanks for nothing.

To be fair, Miles would be good for one national title. He does his best work with Saban players.

Les miles, I would then hope he was fired after winning a mnc with Saban's players.

2. Kevin Sumlin
3. Whatever Tennessee coach's name is.
