CBS sports reports that Alabama will have one of the highest Cost of Attendance figures in the entire country. Incredible !!! How can this be?-This is going to be a can of worms for each University!

The whole thing is shady and will need to be reviewed. Mississippi State and Ole Miss are also in the top 10 nationally in COA, but somehow USC is not. It costs next to nothing to live in Starkville, yet their COA is 3X that of USC located in LA.

Didn't I already see those figures posted? I do not remember Bama being up there, but Tenn was very high.

I've seen the figures before and seem to remember bama's coa being a little bit less than LSU.

They let them inflate their COA so they could "legally" pay their players more.

COA NCAA list

The list that I saw had LSU #29 and Bama #33.

quote:

Under the new cost-of-attendance rules, CBSSports.com reports the school will provide an extra $4,172 for in-state athletes and $5,386 for those from outside Alabama. The previous estimated average of $2,892 put Alabama 11th in the 14-team SEC.

But the new figures CBS Sports is reporting puts Alabama third in the nation, according to the CBS Sports survey. Only Tennessee ($5,666) and Auburn ($5,586) have larger stipends for out-of-state athletes nationall

I am sure that this is going to be a headache in the future.

I think I did hear bama greatly increased their numbers recently. Probably included the down payment on the cars they hand out to most recruits
