Anyone have the chance to make a game this weekend? if so, how is the stadium looking after the renovations?

Not renovations, whole new stadium.

The old stadium was torn down completely? Wow....thought they were just doing renovations to the seating and structure. No doubt it will look awesome, have to wait until next season to visit. Have to admit though being at Hoover last season was nice with the RV hookups

Didn't go to be baseball game, but I was there for the basketball game and it looked fantastic.

Yeah I did for the friday game. So much more impressive than the last stadium. There is a really nice concrete walkway inside and the seating itself is much better. They incorporated the terraced lawn tailgate area for students in right field and it was at capacity. Overall very well done.

Wow. Did they just totally hire the firm that redid Ole Miss's stadium and say "We want that exact same stadium?"
Kind of odd. It looks good though.

Does Ole Miss have a playground in their stadium?

Went to the Joe today. Nephew has season tickets. Everything looks far better than it did before. Bleacher seats replaced with chair back seats along each baseline. Concrete bleachers behind the wall next to the Champions pavilion for students.
Roomier concourse and concessions. And luxury boxes around the infield backstop. Didn't get to see the indoor batting cage. I was impressed.

Wasn't torn down completely. The dugouts and the lower seating areas are still there, but they stripped it down to a shell and rebuilt a totally different style, even removing formally good seats for the new luxury box structure and press box.
It's built around the original concrete but they built new foundations too. Probably safe to say 80-85% new.
42 mil is a lot to spend on a ballpark for a team that is revenue neutral at best, so this and the Champions Plaza it essentially connects to is more a monument to the athletic program.
BDS is a basically finished thing that obviously generates fantastic revenue without additional major renovations needed right now. I'd have to guess the next project would involve a women's team facility.

Yep
ETA: It reminded me a lot of Swayze when I first saw the renovations. I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same firm.

Pictures look great, thanks to whoever posted those. Stadium looks top notch, congrats on the new facility, cannot wait to see it in person next season.

It's a terrible pic, but it's where I sat on Friday night

Always love those types of pics Gary, get the feel for the smell of dogs and burgers cooking with the smoke in the lights.

It's a nice stadium, but still bothers me that the student section isn't bigger. Felt like half the campus was there that night, and many of them got turned away. I was fortunate to have been in the last 100.
Love the new Alex Box stadium LSU has. Really wish Bama could do something as special as having over 10k in attendance.

Except that you show up in every baseball thread. For those who can't, there's kickball.
