By running the read option to the right side of the field, away from Derek Barnett and forcing Tennessee's third string linebackers to chase them in space.

Wow. You have to give some blame it that shitty defensive line as well.

That isn't just a weakness from this year.

Nick Marshall, Tre Mason, Cam Artis-Payne and Corey Grant tore that defense up in 2013.

Yeah I thought Khalil McKenzie was the prodigy. This amazing beast of DT.

What happened?

It's called injuries, they happen and no excuse but at full strength those game would have been different.

You mean the defensive line that was missing 4 out of their top 5 defensive tackles? Yes, I agree. When you're depleted at every level of the defense, you can't hide your weaknesses.

Hurts only had 132 yards?? Weak. Marshall ran for 200+ on them

He was coming along very nicely this year until his injury yesterday.

They should have flipped him to the other side.

Our SR RG didn't even travel due to a concussion. He was replaced by a RS FR and we also start a TR FR at RT and QB.

Two of our best receivers were not a 100% and we also have numerous players dinged up on defense.

Saban called the dogs off very early in the 4th qtr.

That was the least talented VOLS defense I have ever seen honestly. Tennessee was much better at stopping the run earlier this year until the injuries started piling up.

We would still have gotten our asses beat yesterday but if JRM and Kirkland were available, a lot of those wide open read option runs would've been snuffed out imo.

Do y'all have a strength on defense? Or offense for that matter?

I know you got one helluva a punter.

One of them was a repeat offender druggie that got popped. The fact that you were relying on him is all on Jones.

Likely that he tore a pectoral and was out for the rest of the game in the first half.

Not all programs can just get charges dropped on their players.
