He should have gone to starkville, looks like he'd make their honors program.

Isn't the head coach allowed just one in home visit?

He is from Starkville, so maybe he figured Mullen would be coming to see him once a week or something.

AJ seems like a simple kid. I'm starting to believe he may have (somehow) not expected the backlash he got from State fans and he's really bothered by it. He seems like a guy that genuinely cares what everyone thinks of him, hence the comments trying to put the "blame" for his choice on Mullen.

If that's the case, I kinda feel sorry for the kid. He just wants folks to like him.

Maybe Bork will tweet him back and fill him in on NCAA recruiting guidelines.

This makes him sound like a female that's not getting enough male attention IMO

What did he think was going to happen. People are pissed about this. I want to blame the coaching staff but at the same time I say screw that prick.

If mullen would have visited more,, then the kid would have said mullen was on him too much.

He didn't want to go to State, just man up and say he grew up in Starkville, and wanted to experience some place different.

All about 'me'. That's the problem with athletes today.
How many times IS the head coach allowed to come kiss your arse anyway?

In all seriousness, he made the mistake by taking a shot about the lack of attention he got right after he signed. I wish he hadn't made those comments, but too late to take it back. Commenting further just makes it worse. Plus, he was always telling everybody he wanted to go out of state. Somebody just needs to tell him to put down the phone for a few days and let it pass. Seems like a good kid with a good family, and a shame it turned into such a crap fest.
