Ags, how does the Kyle/Kyler battle go for the rest of the season/into 2016?

Obviously Kyle is your starter, but Spav does like to get Kyler in the game for a few plays.

However, I don't see Kyler playing second fiddle for too long, especially if he doesn't beat out Kyle next year. IMO, Allen a much better qb than he showed vs Bama, and should be able to operate/run that offense as long as he's there. I just don't see Murray beating him out next year, though.

So where's that leave Murray in the grand scheme of things?

Two quarterback A-11 once Spav and Christensen are fired.

Kyler has a striking resemblance of Kodi Burns. Y'all should move him to WR ASAP so his career isn't wasted trying to be a QB.

We aren't really sure why that kid ended up at aTm Kyle looks pretty good. Sumlin Is just a beast recruiter I guess.

IMHO, it was a mistake not redshirting Kyler this year.

Kyle Allen is a very good QB, all QBs have bad games here and there.

Kyler clearly isn't an SEC-caliber passer and would have benefited from a redshirt year.

I think Sumlin ought to think of using Kyler a whole lot more in running situations. I think it's his best chance of generating a running game. Until he does that, I think this offense will continue to struggle. They have no threat of a running game right now. That makes it difficult for teams with an experienced QB to pass, which they still don't really have right now.

In all fairness, he did look pretty good in his limited time prior to this season.

Kyler's the backup. If Allen gets injured you don't want those to be your backup QBs very first game reps.

I get what you're saying, but I don't think it would matter who the back-up is if Allen were to get hurt. Kyler is not ready to be a starter, that's clear IMO.

I think it would have been better for Kyler and aTm down the road for him to have redshirted this year.

I thought Carson looked good before playing bama. Bama makes every running game look meh.

I just appears Kyler is trying to hit the home run pass every time. I think Kyle Allen is the QB at a&m until he graduates.

The 2017 draft is a very weak one for quarterbacks. Allen is probably going to go pro.

They're currently No. 79 in rushing offense, and are averaging 4.34 YPC but only 8 rushing TDs. I guess it's not abysmal, but given their focus in the offseason in upgrading their running game, I'd say that effort has been a failure to date.

It has been. Tra Carson is not an every down back but he's the best we have right now and it's hurting the offense
