Better get this off the rant. No positive aggy threads allowed. That's the most important guiding principle on the rant.

and all of those added together barely beat Kentucky's Anthony Davis of the Pelicans who signed a 5 year $145M deal.

You realize Tannehill, Miller, & Jordan's new deals will combine to be at or above 300 M.

You realize that you HAVE to combine them vs. 1 player right. Let's not go into adding on the Demarcus Cousins, John Wall, Bledsoe, salaries, much less all the UK players in the league.

See chart below and just remove the Memphis players Cal coached, and it's pretty staggering. That's REAL MONEY.

Cool story though.

Did Chavis violated any NCAA guidelines during the period in question? Has that even been an issue? Sorry not up on the whole thing.

That seems to be the issue--either Chavis was working for LSU in January while actively recruiting for A&M (which would be an NCAA violation) or he was working for A&M at the time, which would violate his contract, as he is claiming he gave 30 days notice to LSU on the 1st and was still employed there until February.

The pissing match aside, I'm surprised the SEC hasn't stepped in and told both schools to STFU because it really is an embarrassment to the league.

It is a legal issue about compensation. The SEC has no business addressing it, unless you mean the Securities and Exchange Commission.
