They can't get them back because they have no way of efficiently figuring out who is an Aggie and who isn't. Everyone has a free Frogs Club membership.

i dont think its a&m specific, but people have been complaining that TCU is taking tickets away from those who havent picked them up yet

No clue.
But 1% of our fans are more effective than a shite-ton of theirs.
Metrically speaking.
The frogs struggle with that whole "fandom" thing.

I expect it will be a tough ticket.
There's nothing else to do in DFW but eat, drink and shop.

I still don't really understand what happened. It sounds like there are rules about how many tickets at these games can be reserved for home team season ticket holders and how many must be made available to general admission. TCU tried to game the system by making the general admission tickets available up TCU fans before they opened them up to others, via the code that was emailed to TCU fans. I don't think that's standard practice. I'm not sure anyone really knows how many of those general admission tickets were purchased by Aggies who learned of the code.

NCAA says you must give 600 actual seats to the opposing team. That's it. Season ticket holders were able to reserve seats like normal. Tickets were scheduled to go on sale to the public June 4. The members of the frog club were sent an email with the code "tcu15" and a link to request tickets before the public. Aggies got the code and ordered so many tickets that they sold out were they became available to the public (when TCU expected to sell scraps to A&M). It sounds like they sold a very high number of general admission. Most of those will be Aggies. So A&M goes from a few over 600 to 1800-2800 fans.
