You people really do have short memories. Alabama was written off for almost an entire month after that game against Ole Miss. You had blowhards on television and radio proclaiming Alabama's reign in the SEC to be over - especially when you consider Alabama's next four SEC opponents would be #8 Georgia, Arkansas, #9 Texas A&M, and Tennessee. There were many in the media who thought we'd drop at least two of those games.

People knew Ole Miss would lose, but also assumed Alabama would lose more games.
Given the mountain of mistakes that gave the Ole Miss game away you had t o figure they'd find a way to give another one a way, but didn't.
I told my friends after the Ole Miss game, if we win out we're fine, my only concern was winning out.

Classic Saban. His vindictiveness is very audible. Every week is to shut someone up. It works for him because the press, maybe even the SEC office and it's understudies don't want to get him mad at them.
