They need someone that will continue his work. Like some B1G coach.

Hudspeth. It may not take them more than 3 days to make the announcement

I wouldn't mind this but I do not think Smart would take the MSU job, and I also think that State would try to hire someone with more experience.

Isn't this where someone is supposed to say "John Gruden?"

Well, while this is a troll thread, I will give you a real answer. On the off chance Mullen leaves us for Florida (he won't), we would likely hire Geoff Collins, our DC, to keep things rolling.

Edit: On the off chance that John Gruden says no, that is.

All I know is that its a more attractive job than it was when Croom left.

Rumor mill says that Wilson (then-Oklahoma DC) was the first choice but declined because he didn't feel like he could make a bowl game at MSU. Mullen comes in, we've been to four straight.

Wilson did end up with a Big 5 job and is making strides four years later by beating Yankee SEC teams at Indiana.

Hudspeth will be the easy pick. I expect there to be interest, but he's not having a good year at ULL, so who knows how his stock will be.

We'd be attractive for any Big 5 coordinator, but I like the guy at UAB - he's a winner.
