Cam Truce? Haters vs. reality.

No troll, but reality is reality. History is being made. Cam is making it. Can you millennials
deal with actual paragraphs? People actually used to use a topic sentence.

Review: Freshman Cam Newton, 19 years of age and immature with a spotted / troubled past out of UF went the JC route to Blinn CC. He paid his dues by all accounts. Unproven, Shady stuff happened with certain people at UF. The system ran its course, all involved were acquitted or found not guilty of impropriety. Cam was not kicked off the team, blah, blah. Cam was recruited by MSU and AU among others. MSU boosters were found to have offered @180,000$ to Cecil for Cam to play at MSU. For whatever reason that fell through and Cam ended up at Auburn. Auburn was drug through the wringer and then some. The NCAA enema was way up AU’s arse for more than a year and uncovered nothing. NOTHING! NOT A frickING THING in any aspect of AU’s FB program. Could your program really go through that? Good luck! Chizik ran a remarkably clean program at AU. That is what it is.

Cam came to Auburn in the Summer, an unproven (TE prospect according to too many) prospect, but he bought in and was given a chance, and he got on the Gus bus. He worked hard. Very hard. He came to lead the team. During the season, he and AU caught more than the required breaks necessary to win a MNC. He had just enough of a supporting cast on offense, defense and special teams to make a run at and win the MNC, and the Heisman he deserved. Cam hate, AU hate, scandal, paid, Cecil, gambling, boosters, dog track, ATPB, dirty, he’ll never come back, etc., etc. blah blah blah. Can we at least stop there, please? It is now almost 2016. Please stop with crap or continue as you like. Your choice.

NFL Draft – Cam goes #1. Jamarcus Russell comparisons begin. “He’ll never make it. He can’t read a defense. He can’t drop back. He ran a high school / gimmick offense. He can’t make progressions. His game will not translate to the next level. He is immature. He is not an NFL QB. Blah blah.” It didn’t stop there at all. How about now – can the Jamarcus Russell comparisons stop, please? Or continue as you like. Anyone care to admit that they were just completely wrong? Anyone?

How about a truce, ATPB’ers and Cam haters? You can unrustle your jimmies and acknowledge and accept what Cam has done and earned at Carolina and in the NFL in his few years in the League. His dancing and dabbing may be a bit much, but just take a look at what he has done ON AND OFF the field. Does anyone have a better, higher profile player from any team in the SEC to put Cam in his place? Anyone?

If the Cam haters will stop with the excuses and Cam hate, I, for one, will stop posting all of Cam’s accomplishments and frick you’s to his haters. Cam is just getting started, rest assured. There is much, much more coming your way, courtesy of Cam. And yes, this post most definitely does belong on the rant. You want a POS SEC player? Have at Aaron Hernandez (Marshall Henderson, etc.). If you demand your jimmies be rustled into eternity, you are welcome for all of the Cam threads to come your way. Merry Christmas.

Wall of text. To long and kudo’s to anyone who cared to read this far. To the more mature posters on tRant - Cam deserves and has earned better. Don’t you think? Is he still a TPOS? It is getting more difficult to justify that stance daily. Root for the Panthers or not. That is fine. But Cam should be given his due.

Go SEC this bowl season and beyond.
