So, we've heard a lot that LSU was going to have a great defense, maybe even a better defense, because it was all about the talent. And yet Chavis took a defense that was the worst in the SEC last year and has them looking like world beaters in his very first game as DC.
Suppose for a moment that, while talent obviously matters, coaching matters, too. LSU now has Kevin Steele as their DC.

i thought aTm looked good in a lot of ways (esp d-line).
if i remember correctly you guys had a heisman candidate and bcs contending team after the first game last year so i wouldn't overreact (either positively or negatively) after the first game of the season.
