Bercovici (ASU) - 12 games, 61.8%, 1445 Yds, 12 TD, 4 INT, 144 Rating
Allen (A&M) - 9 games, 61.5%, 1322 Yds, 16 TD, 7
INT rating 139.5
Pretty even stats. I'd argue Allen would of had quite a few more yards if he played 12 games like ASU's guy, but Allen got better as year went on with exp. Has the RS senior Bercovici hit his ceiling, while Allen is still progressing? Who knows, but it should be a pretty even matchup at QB.
The point was that Arizona State is a very good team. Some even say a playoff team. But A&M people haven't even bothered to do some research on them until three days before kickoff. You guys literally have no idea what you're up against. You just take to the message boards to predict a 3 TD Aggie blowout.
Its like you guys don't live in reality.

I've watched 4 of their games from last year and their spring game.
We're fully aware where AZST is being picked on polls/ media. We're also favored by 3-4. If you consider it a home game for us than that's a push-1 pt favor.
It's not like they're vastly better than us, most Ags expect a good game.
Why would we expect a loss? Yeah it's definitely possible.
Do you think our fans haven't earned the win by not keeping an eye on the prize, focusing one week at a time, etc?

I'm going to start an "LSU vs. McNeese St." thread.
Just kidding.
No I'm not.
NONE of us are as emotionally invested in their first game as they are in our first game.

This is going to come as a surprise to you, but I don't actually play football for Texas A&M.
Now I don't know this for a fact, but I'm going to bet our coaches and team know who the opponent's QB is.
I'm not predicting a 3 TD blowout; I'm going with a 3-point Aggie win, per the Vegas oddsmakers.

I got Aggy winning by 3 or less.
37-35
37-35

Difference is TAMU's first game is against a very good ranked team and everyone is talking about it while LSU's is a cupcake..
So much delusion.
So much delusion.

Yep, it's on YouTube. I actually watched it on a slow day at work.

Hey smartass, its annoying when your obviously uninformed fans come in here barking about 3TD blowouts over a team that is probably better than A&M.
I'm here to annoy you back.

Vegas knows more than you or I, and we are favored. We are up against an army of 2 and 3 stars that has Todd Graham as their coach. I guarantee Aggies are more familiar with Todd Graham than most swamp kittens.
This is something I wrote on another board 10 days ago.
"Against USC, UCLA, Notre Dame, Oregon St, Washington St, Arizona and Duke they gave up 30+ last season. That was 7 of their 13 games, so more than half the time. If A&M's offense is in the better half of the offenses that ASU faced last year, 30+ is to be expected. Now, Stanford and Washington they both held to 10 points, and they held Utah to 16, so we can look at those games and come away thinking ASU is able to put together solid play for a whole game against some decent teams, but when we dig a little deeper, it's not as impressive as it sounds. Utah only scored more than 30 in conference play once, against Colorado 2-10(0-9), who subsequently conceded 35+ in every conference game they played. So in actuality, holding Utah to 16 wasn't that difficult, as 3 teams in conference play held them to under 20 pts last season. Likewise, Stanford was held to 20 points or less 5 times in conference play. Washington was also held to 30 or less 5 times in conference play last season as well. So, while ASU's defense did hold up better than average against teams that struggled on offense, it wasn't particularly stout against the rest of the conference, giving up 42 and 62 points to the teams that finished above them in the division, and 34 to the team that finished 4th behind them. The parity in the Pac 12 was high last season, and ASU seemed to navigate it well, but it wasn't on the back of some mighty defense."

If I had LSU's QB play and LSU's DC, I'd be worried about ASU.

i doubt any Aggies could say who any of your OOC games are, of your non permanent east game this year.
Meanwhile there's been 15-20 LSU fans dick riding ASU for months.

You are favored by 3 in Houston. That means Vegas doesn't know (home field is always worth 3 pts). You don't gamble much, do you?

So far, the non-Ags on this thread have picked ASU at nearly a 2-1 ratio. I look forward to all of those same posters crawfishing on Saturday and talking about how terrible ASU is and how they're just like South Carolina last year.
