I don't get the anti-TexasA&M lean in the polls. The polls aren't some message board where we poke fun at each other and talk trash. Emotions of each of us aside, who really thinks A&M doesn't belong in the top 5? And UF? What gives?

I'd put 4. A&M, 5. UF, 6. LSU

I don't think UF deserves to be in the top 5 yet. We'll see what happens against Mizzou.

1. polls dont matter
2. it's fine, we were a hot ticket last year early and just sucked for a month.

Next game against Alabama will tell everyone what they need to know about A&M.

Its due to preseason influence.

Maybe because A&M has done nothing to deserve being that high. Same with UF in recent years.

Has nothing to do with this year's polls.

I could maybe put A&M in at 5th but lsu and Florida no. Utah should be getting a lot more credit than they are.

Don't care. Polls, especially early, serve the sole purpose of putting eyes on television screens. If we handle our business, everything will shake out in the end.

We've done more than LSU.

I definitely don't. We are a top 15 team and that's about it. Defense is much better but we are having trouble running the ball when we need a yard or two. Also giving up too many running yards still. Have 3 teams ahead on schedule where this is going to be problem.

Probably cause A&M has trouble with the run. You just can't expect a team to dominate when they can't stop power run teams. Especially considering the conference you're in now.

Your boy cites to "recent years." Since we joined the league, we have virtually identical records and we've actually won our bowls.

As far as this year goes (what actually matters), we've simply won more games and we're not entirely dependent on one player.

When the season starts using a preseason poll that ranks a couple of teams obscenely high--and those teams face junior varsity competition--those teams are not going to drop in the polls for not losing.

Texas A&M was, for whatever reason, unranked.
Our climb has therefore been much farther.

There are so many "pretty good" teams in college this year but no great ones (LSU definitely included). The title is completely up for grabs so being anywhere in the Top 15 at this point with no losses is about the same to me.
