Having both USCe and Vandy on our schedule.
If we are truly a bad team this year, that might overshadow how bad and if we are better than expected, it will make is easier to get to a better bowl.

Based on us struggling with 2 new OL, 3 new WR, a QB who had taken 5 snaps, in his first game, against a team with a pulse?

Yes, I'm sure that football powerhouse UNC(the team that lost to nc state and rutgers..) is really going to dominate this season.

Agreed.
You do get an Arizona St. team that is probably their best since the Jake Plummer years though. It kind of offsets that duo from the east.

Would think Aggie fans know better than to take away a lot from the first game, but oh well...

Agreed, if at a minimum we keep it close I'd be happy. I'm not expecting us to contend for the west this year but I don't expect us to be at the bottom either.
Btw, to the cock above, Arizona st is a team with a pulse, not the basketball school you lucked into winning.

Where did I say they were a powerhouse?

I think you guys have a pretty solid shot at getting the split in those games.

Where can we draw the line of teams with pulses?
Clearly UNC isn't a 'powerhouse', but they a team with some division 1 athletes, obviously.

Meh, you are probably underestimating the Cocks. Their major weakness from last year (defense, specifically DL) played a lot better and UNC has a pretty good offense.
If Spurrier can get his QB situation fixed then they should be pretty solid.

Fvck that, go win. The Pac 12 is going to have the big head after the Utah game and if ASU beats an SEC west team they (Pac 12 fans) will crow about it all year regardless of the rankings at the time.

It would be smart to pencil those two games in as a win.

Very true. If we lose to ASU people will flame us endlessly here and rightfully so because we talk a lot of shite, but I could really see us losing to them and still having a 9 win season

You don't think your performance last night would give your future opponents confidence?

Check every single year before the SEC move. We had scheduling issues during the transition.
