Just checked the weather before hitting the sack and it is calling for AM thunderstorms at your place in the morning.

Looked at radar and it doesn't look good for 11AM your time.

I think so, in my totally not-a-professional-meteorologist opinion, the worst should clear, maybe residual showers early in the game but it has cleared pretty well in SA and the surrounding area.

Field might be a bit soggy though, something something stiff dew.

There's another line of storms coming through overnight, but looks to pass through by game time.

Move the game to Columbia. Only logical choice here. Fair is fair.

Field drainage is designed for a continuous 12 in/hr rain.

We ain't moving the game.

And as my Dad told me, a little lightning never stopped his games as long as it wasn't hitting the field.

So it should be semi-dark at least for the blackout

I dunno ... just checked Weather.com again. 90% of rain and thunderstorms at 11AM CT. Flood warning in effect until 1PM central time.

I hope you're right though.

we must be looking at different weather.coms

I got the last chance of thunderstorms at 10am, and mostly cloudy to cloudy starting at 11am.

Recent report (a couple of hours ago, anyway) from our weather guru, Air Force Ags:

****AGS V COCKS OFFICIAL WEATHER THREAD****
Air Force Ags 10:05p, 10/30/15
****30 Oct 10:03 PM Update****

Update: Worst of the heavy rain and thunderstorms has been pushed back to between 5 AM and 10 AM, so Midnight Yell just may go after all with some intermittent showers and gusty winds ahead of a developing Mesoscale Convective System in RGV and Hill Country. If the storms persist long enough, the gates may not open until 10 AM or later. The good news is that once the MCS passes through, the rain will slacken off. Hopefully, this will occur BEFORE the 11 AM kickoff.

Bad news on flyover... cancelled due to weather abort which prevented them from arriving at location close enough to fly over Kyle Field.

Midnight Yell Practice: Cloudy, mild, humid and windy with a 40% chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms (trace-0.1"). Southeasterly wind at 15-20 mph with gusts of 25 mph. The temp will be in the lower-70s and the relative humidity will be 95%.

Tailgate Weather: Cloudy, mild, humid and windy with a 90% chance of showers and a 60% chance of thunderstorms with rain heavy at times until slackening off to a light rain by 11 AM (0.75-1.25"). Southeasterly wind at 15-20 mph with some gusts of 25 mph in early morning before decreasing to 10-20 mph and switching to southwesterly by 10 AM and then becoming northwesterly by halftime. The relative humidity will start off around 98% in the morning and only drop to 75% in afternoon. High/Low: 74/70.

Kickoff Weather: Cloudy, mild, humid and windy with showers/mist/drizzle likely and a chance of thunderstorms (0.1-0.3").
Temp: 70F at kickoff, 72F at half, and 74F by end of game
Relative Humidity: 75%
Heat Index: N/A
Winds: Southwesterly at 10-15 mph with gusts to 20 mph, before switching to northwesterly around halftime
Chance of Rain: 80%
Chance of Thunderstorms: 30% in 1st half and 15% in 2nd half
Chance of Lightning w/in 8 miles: 15% in 1st half and 5-10% in 2nd half

Flying Weather for those coming by private/commercial air: < 10% chance of VFR conditions (ceiling/visibility > than 3000 feet/3 miles) Friday afternoon through Saturday night and 30-40% by Sunday morning.

***NOTE: If you want updates on game day, please go follow me on Twitter...@Doc_Sanger. This is how I am updating my followers as kick off draws closer. I will also revise this thread once a day. Finally, Gabe has been kind enough to have me pre-record the game day forecast on the Thursday Fan Show.

Cheers,

Doc AFA

We will be glowing in the day also, if the Nuclear Reactor from the Nuclear Science Department malfunctions.
