On Friday, the Golden Nugget sportsbook released 150 lines for the upcoming 2015 college football season. Yes, Alabama is still Alabama and is currently not an underdog for any game, but there is one that is listed as pick ’em as of today.
The Crimson Tide will travel to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs on Oct. 3 and that’s the one the Golden Nugget opened as a pick ’em.

The streak that is in jeopardy is that the Tide has been favored in 68 consecutive games dating back to the 2009 SEC Champi0nship against the Florida Gators. The Gators came into that game as 5.5-point favorite and we all know that it ended with Tim Tebow’s tears on the sidelines as Alabama won 32-13 and has been the favorite in every game since that one.

For the opening weekend, the Tide opened as 10-point favorite over the Wisconsin Badgers. Alabama will have payback on their minds when the Ole Miss Rebels come to town in September and is currently listed as a 9.5-point favorite. Oh yeah. The Iron Bowl in Auburn and LSU in Tuscaloosa? They are favored in those as well. Check out all of the opening lines below.
Wisconsin vs. Alabama -10 (Arlington, Texas)
Ole Miss at Alabama -9.5
Alabama at Georgia PK
Arkansas at Alabama -7.5
Alabama -7 at Texas A&M
Tennessee at Alabama -10
LSU at Alabama -9
Alabama -9 at Mississippi State
Alabama -3.5 at Auburn

Seems awfully generous to A&M.

Wonder what the record is for most games being the favorite. Maybe Miami in the 90's?

Would get in on that UT line with unbridled glee. There is no way they are staying within 10.

I'd guess the streak ends because Georgia doesn't play anybody with a pulse before then.

So, using the transitive law and Latarian 's other thread, if Bama and AU are pickems against Georgia, then Bama would also be an underdog if they played at Arkansas ?

We'll beat em as bad as we wanna beat em.

But not with the consistency of underachievement that Les has maintained.

i don't know we haven't been favored in 68 straight games. it might be somewhat close. We usually win the games we are favored in and lose ones we aren't.

Alabama now officially holds that record. If they extend that into this season, it's a record that will never be touched.
