A Little History behind the "Battle Line Rivalry"

"Nationally, the parallel 36°30' north is best known for marking the Missouri Compromise, which in the early 1800s divided prospective free and slave states west of the Mississippi River:"
"For a few years controversy extending all the way to Washington D.C. entangled the Missouri-Arkansas area near the Mississippi River. The result: Arkansas’ weird, jagged northeastern corner."
I do like having fans in all corners of the state easy access to road games in the SEC.
Little rock - Ole Miss
Fayetteville - Missouri
Texarkana - Texas A&M
Entire Southern Arkansas - LSU
*(I doubt y'all knew half of Arkansas cities in the southern part of the state are closer to Baton Rouge than Fayetteville)
I'm glad it might snow tomorrow on the Hill, it will prepare us for those Yankees in two weeks.

It all makes sense from the Civil War to the bootheel. At least it has real historic connotation even if the name could use a little work.

battle line rivalry is just a terrible terrible title.
Just doesn't flow.

Or something with a common geographic feature..
Battle in the ozarks.

Gateway bowl ( Missouri has St. Louis.. Gateway to west and all)
The manifest destiny bowl..
The Sacajawea ... Lewis and Clark Bowl/battle
The Diamond classic.. Alluding to Arkansas 's mining history...
