This could have been done with South Carolina fans during their football coaching search right down to the "dont want Muschamp" before he was hired and the "he will turn the program around" after...but no one gave enough of a shite about South Carolina to go through the hassle, so there is that I suppose.

It was a quick confident hire that seems like the AD wanted Martin and got him. Might not be flashy but it sure does show confidence.

I agree with this. Mizzou fans always complain that we aren't ever willing to be aggressive and spend $ for the guy we want. Yes, they probably overpaid, but I would rather see them do that for someone they want than go cheap like they did with KA.

I'm not a Frank Martin guy at all and happen to believe he is sub-par of a coach BUT..
With all the chips falling in place with Zo's hiring, you'd be crazy to call Mizzou fans dumb for feeling super optimistic right now. Yesterday was a great day.
