First I still think he a great back but does not look like a special once in lifetime back. I watched several LSU games, Buga is great when he can get to the 2nd/3rd levels and punish lightweight DB. He missed several cutbacks that would of destroyed us on the backside of Weakside LBs crashing down. Pruitt did bring Mika into the box on several occasions also. He lacks the vision of a special back and tries to get lateral to quickly for homeruns instead of sticking his head in the pile and getting 3 or 4 yards. I thank God LSU didn't use Guice more...he ran into the teeth of Bama front and move the ball on a couple of plays.... Honest assessment.

Why though? He is either hurt, or gains less than 100 yards against real teams. He lacks real speed to pull away from elite D players, and is too injury prone to lean on all year. Way overrated.

Leonard has been scared of Alabama since Foster hit him on that kickoff. He avoids contact with Alabama players

Because you can put him in Arkansas Alabama Auburn teams with quality OL and RB coaches that will teach him patience and look for cutbacks.

He ran timid last night. He danced around far far too much.

Last night's game definitely showed a breakdown of LF7.

Oh, you were talking about analysis?

Here is the breakdown

He has not been integral in a big game win in his career because they havent had a big game win in his career

Against the best teams he has played he is an average at absolute best back

26th in the country in yards per carry this year

He is nobody

Going to LSU cost him millions. His play against better defenses equates to what he might see in the NFL and he won't look good there. Its laughable people considered him a Heisman candidate and top ten pick.

I think he'll be a good RB in the NFL. At least he won't be facing 6-8 first round draft choices on any team like he did last night.

no matter how much pro analysis you think you have, LF7 will still be a top 10 pick. I'll leave the actual judging to actual NFL scouts.

What are NFL scouts seeing in him that makes him a high priority?

He does have suspect vision. He is very average on plays without a FB or lead blocker. He is not bad, just not other worldly.

When he has a FB to take on the LB and he is able to get to the second level he is special. The thing is most teams barely use a FB and some teams don't even carry one on the roster.

He benefits greatly from LSU offense. It's why Jalen Hurd wants to transfer from UT. He would have been awesome at LSU.

Would agree about Guice because he is more slippery but the fact is LSU wasnt going to win that game regardless because of our offensive line

I think he would excel in a situation like Ezekiel Elliot has. IMO, you don't spend a top pick on a back unless you have an OL ready to block for him. Otherwise, a guy can't make a huge difference in today's game.

Would make sense if he'd only played Bama twice.
