• SEC national individual stat leaders: Passing Efficiency -- AJ McCarron, Alabama; Punting – Kyle Christy, Florida; Tackles for Loss -- Damontre Moore, Texas A&M; Sacks -- Damontre Moore, Texas A&M.

• SEC national team stat leaders: Pass Efficiency Defense -- Alabama; Net Punting -- Florida; Passing Efficiency -- Alabama; Rushing Defense -- Alabama; Scoring Defense -- Alabama; Total Defense -- Alabama; Turnover Margin -- Mississippi State.

• Alabama leads the SEC in overall offensive drive efficiency, scoring on 46 of its 85 offensive drives (54.1 percent). The Tide has scored touchdowns on 40.0 percent (34 of 85) of its offensive drives, which is also an SEC-best.

• Alabama is averaging 6.1 yards per carry on designed running plays this season with 4.5 yards coming before contact with a defender. The Tide have made it at least 5 yards past the line of scrimmage without being touched on 36.9 percent of their designed runs, including 41 percent of T.J. Yeldon’s carries.

• Alabama is 44-0 since the start of the 2008 season when they run for at least 150 yards.

• Alabama leads the SEC in rush yards per game (236.3) and yards per rush (5.5) in conference games. The Tide are at their best in the fourth quarter, during which they average an SEC-best 6.5 yards per rush with 5.1 yards before contact. The two other SEC teams in the last nine seasons to average at least six yards per rush in the fourth quarter of conference games were Alabama in 2011 and Florida in 2008 – both won the BCS National Championship.

• Mississippi State is giving up 3.6 yards per rush in its four conference games this season, the fifth-lowest average in the SEC. Conference opponents have not had much room to run, as they have more yards after contact (224) against the Bulldogs than they do before contact (165). To put that in perspective, SEC teams gain 56.7 percent of their yards before contact this season.

• AJ McCarron threw a career-high four touchdown passes off play-action last week against Tennessee. McCarron now has two more touchdown passes off play-action this season than he did all of last season.

• McCarron is completing 70 percent of his passes thrown 25 yards or longer this season, an increase of more than 40 percentage points from last season. Play-action has been the key. McCarron is completing 85.7 percent of his 25-yard passes off play-action this season. For his career, two-thirds of his completions on such throws have come off play-action, including two of his career-high three completions last week against Tennessee.

• Alabama has conceded 42 plays that gained 10 yards or more, 14 fewer than any other FBS team. Opponents average 1.7 drives per game that reach the red zone against Alabama, lowest in FBS. When opponents do reach the red zone, they average 3.4 points per drive, which is tied for the seventh-lowest average in FBS.

• Alabama leads FBS with 111 points scored off turnovers this season. Mississippi State has scored 53 fewer points off turnovers than Alabama, despite having forced one more turnover. The Bulldogs’ 21 forced turnovers are tied for fourth most in FBS.

• Graduation Success Rate: Alabama – 75. MSU – 60.

Please never say "lock to win."

One "domino" at a time. The grind is the next to go.

Because all of Alabama's SEC opponents have been on the road and against quality nationally ranked teams like Texas A&M.

I was expecting more of a "we punt the ball cause we have a bad arse punter who is a weapon on the field" or something in that manner.

Son, I am disappoint.

Wait are you saying Tex A&M's Defense is better than Tennessee's or Ole Miss?

If it's better than Ole Miss' D it certainly isn't by much.

I guess I could point out that you guys have punted 42 times this year to Bama's 21, but I'm sure you've played twice as tough the defenses that Bama has...
