Both the AP and the SEC Coaches vote on the Coach of the Year award, and at times they differ on their vote and/or there is a tie, so there have been 16 coaches win the award since 2000:
Lou Holtz - 2000
Houston Nutt - 2001, 2006, 2008
Mark Richt - 2002, 2005
David Cutcliffe - 2003
Nick Saban - 2003, 2008, 2009
Tommy Tuberville - 2004 (also won in 1997)
Steve Spurrier - 2005, 2010 (also won in '90, '91, '94, '95, '96)
Sylvester Croom - 2007
Bobby Johnson - 2008
Gene Chizik - 2010
Les Miles - 2011
Kevin Sumlin - 2012
Will Muschamp - 2012
Guz Malzahn - 2013
Dan Mullen - 2014
Gary Pinkel - 2014
Coaches in bold have been fired since winning the award - if a COTY is going to be fired, it happens within 2 seasons on average.
Coaches in italics have retired since winning the award.
Of the remaining 7 coaches on the list - Richt, Saban, Miles, Sumlin, Malzahn, Mullen, and Pinkel - who is most likely to be fired or forced out in the near future? Depending on how the season ends, it isn't unprecedented for Auburn to get rid of Malzahn only 2 years after winning SEC Coach of the Year. Cutcliffe and Croom were fired only a year after winning their awards, and Muschamp and Chizik only made it two years.
Side note - Houston Nutt is tied with Saban for the most SEC COTY awards since 2001. In fact, his 3 SEC COTY awards put him in a tie for 7th all time in SEC history.
Bear Bryant - 12
Steve Spurrier - 7
Johnny Vaught - 6
Vince Dooley - 5
Robert Neyland - 4
Ralph Jordan - 4
Houston Nutt - 3
Wally Butts - 3
Pat Dye - 3
Nick Saban -3
He is widely panned, yet he found himself on a list of legends. Go figure.

I see all of those lasting at least through 2016.

Pinkel might retire...same with Saban....
Don't think any would be fired.....except for maybe Richt....which would be a huge mistake IMO.

What's even more impressive is the fact that no less than three of the coaches on OP's list were once the head coach at Ole Miss and yet somehow the Rebels still can't find their way to Atlanta.

Good catch. One obvious trend is that the COTY tends to go to a coach who improves their team rather than maintaining a high level of success. Case in point is Miles only winning 1 award in 2011 while getting nothing in 2005-2007.

Nutt had generational type players on his teams and didn't win shite with them. those awards were consolation type awards for failing to win with crazy talent.

I forgot Croom won the thing in 07. The media was basically begging for a reason to give it to him.
I will never forget that season. We had a really good defense and the offense sucked bad. Wesley Carroll, a true freshman that went on to be third string at Florida International, was the quarterback. The defense had a high number of pick 6s that season, and we won a couple of close games (Alabama) because of them.
We lost a game late in the season - maybe Arkansas, and Croom blamed the defense for not scoring a TD. We played UCF in the Liberty Bowl, and Wes Carroll ignored the sideline in the final drive and drove us down to win the game. He promptly was put in the dog house and eventually transferred.
