This situation with Kirkland, McKenzie and Richmond has been out there since spring ball. It is no coincidence that the only people publicizing it are these people like Reeds Ranch and Rocky Top News looking for e-cred. I know for a fact the staff at VQ knew about this all summer and I'm sure 247, IT, etc heard as well but despite all of their flaws they don't just throw shite like this out there when they hear it.

There have been some moving parts on this deal throughout the summer and in to camp and Kirkland and McKenzie were told they would not be suspended for this game a while ago (before Reed "reported it" on his podcast). Richmond has been banged up and they have been very concerned about his availability anyway.

It is possible there could be one suspension from this but McKenzie and Kirkland are not suspended unless Butch has changed his mind since this became public.
