Where are y'all getting this shite?

And why the hell would anyone affiliated with the OM Administration release a response with details of anything in the investigation before they absolutely have to make it public?

OM doesn't owe the public a damn thing, keep this shite private for as long as possible. JMO

Probably to get out in front of it this time and create our own narrative. We waited the full 90 days last time to issue details. And us receiving the 1st NOA was leaked by NCAA anyways right before signing day. May be trying a different tactic this time. Maybe not though. We will just wait and see.

In all seriousness, this is the first instance that I've noticed all Rebel talking heads/media/mods on the same page and issuing the same message. Maybe they are getting their crap together and are figuring out how to handle this

How bad is 'Lack of Institutional Control' charge?

The COI may not agree after our responses but who was last to get LOIC?

I may be completely off base, but I think the new penalty structure kind of makes LOIC obsolete. They make it clear that all violations are now pinned to the Head Coach/AD, and the institutions control or knowledge or lack thereof is minimalized

FOIA request are for public entities. Universities, government agencies, etc. Not private companies contracted by a university.

God are you really that dumb?

The document IS THE UNIVERSITY'S DOCUMENT, NOT THE LAWYER'S.

The FOIA request would go to OM and it would be their duty to either (a) collect it from whomever had physical possession of THEIR document and turn it over or (b) give a legitimate reason why it wasn't produced. They have a legitimate reason, but the fact that the lawyer has possession of the letter isn't that reason.

Please tell me you're a sidewalker and don't actually have a college degree.

This shitshow spans multiple sports, multiple coaches, multiple AD's and includes Academic Fraud. The Institution known as Ole Miss failed to control any damn thing in their Athletic Department for years.

pretty much this, they might not need to produce it until the entire investigation/punishment is finalized, but they still have to produce it

Grab your ankles and bite the pillow bad.

That's the one that gets vacated wins and (sometimes) bowl bans.

No idea who got it last.

bullshite.

This case is NCAA vs OleMiss, not the legal team weeding through the shite pile for OM. OM is a public entity, they have to abide by FOIA.

Now, one of your fellow Rebs said the rumor is that OM intends to make a public announcement and provide a few details of the latest NOA.

Why the hell would the OM Administration voluntarily release a damn thing to the public if they can wait it out 60-90 days after they prepare their defense to the NCAA?

It wasn't necessarily "last" but here are some examples:

Texas Southern - 2012 - 2 year postseason ban (basketball and football)

Central Florida - 2012 - 5 year probation, postseason ban (basketball and football), 3 years of scholarship reductions, vacation of wins (basketball), show-causes for AD and some coaches

USC - 2010 - 4 years probation, 2 year postseason ban, vacation of 3 years worth of wins, 3 years scholarship reduction

LINK

The penalty structure has changed slightly, but I imagine those are still in the ball park for LOIC/multiple Level-1s.

They had an agent funneling kids to the school and found $16,000 in impermissible benefits. They got hammered because they "knowingly provided false and misleading information" during the investigation.

The lesson, as always, is don't lie to the NCAA. If you're caught, you're caught. Do not lie about it.
