Both have had top 20 classes each of the last the 4 years and top 10 the last two years. Doesn't seem that ridiculous

This is one thing the big "Richt does so much less with more" people overlooked. People would always say "Richt always has great recruiting classes!"
Well...we typically had around a 10th ranked class. Which on the surface, sure, that sounds "great" I guess. But when 3 or 4 teams in your own league are in teh top 10, it aint so great.
Just looking at these 2016 numbers (obviously a small sample size) you can see that just oging by star ratings there are 12 other teams that have done it better than us during this cycle, including 4 in our own conference. Another is one that we've played within the last 2 years, another is one that we play next year.
Our "talent" as of the last 6 years has been greatly exagerrated, IMO.
With that said, I fully beleive that the next 5 years we will be one of the 5 most talented rosters in America once kirby starts doing his thing full time.

Why does it say UGA only has 61 players?

If you're in the top 10 you've got enough talent to win if you identify well and have a QB. Notice OM isn't on that list and they've won more top 25 games than any other sec team over the past two years besides Bama and it's because of QB play and talent evaluation. Talent on paper doesn't always equal talent on the field and a lot of those teams on that list prove that.

Pretty sure this list hasn't even been officially published yet. The total players for each team are way off.

WTF.. This is a composite for over the past 16 years is it not? Well most everyone on that list has won a conference title so I guess the shock is based off of us thinking this was over the past 4 years

No. It's supposed to be all the players on the current team, but I don't think any freshmen are being counted at this point.

How does Florida allow their talent level to get so low? They are in a state that is absolutely loaded with talent. No excuse with all those resources inside that state to be outside the Top 15.

It's a composite for the players on the team now, based on the player's recruiting composite.

Few things:
1)Florida isn't elite like they used to be. As such, a few (maybe only 2 or 3 per class, but it adds up) will elect not to go to UF that maybe even just a few years earlier would have gone there
2)Not only are they not elite, they've been downright bad recently. Urban's last year in 10 was blah, 2011 was meh, 2012 was legit very good, '13 was bleh, 14 was meh, then they got a whole new coaching staff
3)Similar to the state of GA, you can't get everybody. FL could have 200 5* but they don't all HAVE to like UF. FSU is on the rise, Miami isn't that good but they still have a name, and there are dozens of programs across the southeast that make a living recruiting SFla.
It is kinda odd though.

Between LSU and aTm, we've had about 8 QB's that have been 5 or 4*'s. You have an OU reject and we have, well, you know what we have...
