Let's go ahead and get the thread started. One of the biggest games in recent history for the Gamecocks who lead the nation in defensive efficiency and are 5th in scoring defense at 59.4ppg against the high flying UK offense averaging 93.3ppg.

Key to the game for the Gamecocks is to limit Fox and Monk and force them to take bad shots and use our defense to set up offense.

Not gonna make a pick for the game, but I'm really interested to see irresistible force vs immovable object.

Let's go Gamecocks!

Kentucky by 10+. The only reason we were close was because Monk was off. Hopefully this game doesn't have 52 fouls too...

Haha, love sarcasm.

I'm not dumb enough to say we're going into rupp and winning by 10+ or nothing. Being realistic, I hope it's within 3-5 points so we have a shot.

Unstoppable force vs. immovable object.

Interesting matchup between Kentucky's offense and USC's defense.

Hoping it'll be a good one Florida-Vandy on right now and it's been pretty entertaining.

I'm expecting our team to get saddled with fouls early and often, which will limit our defensive effectiveness, and put several of our better scorers off of the floor. UK will become confident and free-flying with the support of the men in stripes, and will overwhelm us. The game is in Rupp Arena, and all that plus the officials will just be too much for our youngish team to overcome.....

Even if it is close at halftime, UK will shift to another gear in the 2nd half and win by 20+

I feel like we have the defense and the experience on the floor in the right spots to be able to keep it close. If it's within a shot or two at the end, I feel like we have a good chance to win. It all depends on the bigs not fouling out (looking at you Silva)

I wouldn't go that far. It should be a good game and I'm encouraged knowing TV Teddy is in Tallahassee today.

UK has faced a team that is just as good defensively (Louisville, who is #2 in KenPom's defensive efficiency ratings to USCe's #1) but is better offensively (#43 in offensive efficiency vs. USCe's #177).

I expect it to be a good game.

I never underestimate that one guy off the bench that goes the hell off in Rupp.

Belle, with the refs calling the game tight, look for USC go in some early foul trouble due to their style. But it could be a good game...we need to be tested going into the Kansas game.
