LSU is a better team this year than Alabama, that shouldn't be a surprise

As they allegedly were last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, etc.

Maybe you should wait until November to make such a statement. Preferably after the first weekend of November.

Yes, color me surprised.

See Im not a LSU fan so I didnt say what THEY said last year or the year before that. But I am saying it this year that LSU will be favored in that match-up this year.

So the order remains the same until Texas A&M and Ole win a championship.

Texas A&M could theoretically make it a "Big 7" if they could rattle off 5-7 solid seasons in a row, plus win at least an SEC Title or two. Obviously a National Title would get them into the group as well. But time is of the essence. You can't allow yourself to get too far behind the "Big 6" in head-to-head matchups. Since joining the league, Texas A&M is just 3-10 against the "Big 6". You'll need to get that number up before it becomes too big of a gap to make up in the future.

Arkansas was in the exact same spot back in 1992 that Texas A&M is in today.... decent program trying to find their way in the SEC. But after 24 years, the Hogs are still looking for their first SEC Championship, and their record of 35-70 against the "Big 6" needs some improvement. I think the Hogs need to win several SEC Titles to ever have a chance at joining the group.

Everyone in the "Big 6" has averaged winning an SEC Title at least once every 10 years or so:

*Alabama has averaged winning one every 3.3 years
*Tennessee has averaged winning one every 6.4 years
*Georgia has averaged winning one every 6.9 years
*LSU has averaged winning one every 7.6 years
*Auburn has averaged winning one every 10.4 years
*Florida has averaged winning one every 10.4 years
----------------
*Ole Miss has average winning one every 13.8 years
*Kentucky has averaged winning one every 41.5 years
*Miss St. has averaged winning one every 83.0 years

No one else has won an SEC Title.

Arkansas needs to win 3 SEC Titles in the next 6-8 years to get to where Auburn and Florida are today. Going zero for 24 has put them in a bad spot, and that hole is getting harder to climb out of.

Ole Miss isn't too far off in the SEC Titles statistic.... they only need another title or two to enter the discussion. But Ole Miss' problem is their horrendous record against the other "Big 6" programs.

All-Time SEC record against the "Big 6":

61.8%: Alabama (170-103-11)
50.4%: Florida (141-139-6)
48.2%: Auburn (144-155-10)
46.5%: Georgia (121-140-8)
46.0%: Tennessee (102-121-13)
45.6%: LSU (98-118-10)
-------------------------------
40.0%: Missouri (6-9)
34.5%: Ole Miss (95-194-8)
33.5%: Arkansas (35-70)
29.6%: Mississippi State (98-238-7)
25.5%: South Carolina (24-71-1)
23.1%: Texas A&M (3-10)
20.2%: Kentucky (63-260-8)
18.8%: Vanderbilt (54-249-9)

Ole Miss only plays 3 "Big 6" opponents annually... then they'll play one from the Eastern division every few years. So assume Ole Miss played four "Big 6" opponents every single year and managed a 3-1 record against such competition every season..... If they did this for 15 consecutive years, it would only improve their "Big 6" winning percentage up to 41.5%... still well below that of the current worst "Big 6" team, LSU. And to win 75% of "Big 6" games over a 15-year period would be nearly miraculous for any program.... let alone Ole Miss.

It's tough to join the big dogs. Texas A&M and Missouri have the best shot, simply because they don't have decades of not meeting the "Big 6" standard like Ole Miss and Mississippi State have.... Mizzou needs more Top 25 finishes, etc. to get them up their too. But their overall performance since joining the league has been a pretty solid attempt.

Auburn will always be Big 3 West, ALWAYS!

A lot of concerns on offense for me.

Lets take a look at 3 metrics since Mizzou and A&M joined the SEC. Conference titles, division titles, and wins per year average. Schedule toughness aside, these seem like pretty fair metrics to compare each.

1. Mizzou- 0 conference, 2 division, 8.25 wins per year
2. Georgia- 0 conference, 1 division, 10 wins per year
3. Florida- 0 conference 1 division, 8 wins per year
4. Tennessee- 0 conference, 0 division, 6.5 wins per year

Seems like Mizzou is at worst #2 behind Georgia, which is probably fair.

You can make that argument, but Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee have spent decades amassing our credentials. Two Eastern Division Championships during the lowest point in the history of the Eastern division is not going to get Missouri in the same league as the big guys.

With that said, kudos to Mizzou. They've started out well in their first 4 years.

Ah, its the annual we haven't won anything in a long time but "bah Gawd" we are still relevant thread from a Georgia fan.

You feast on Kentucky and Vanderbilt each year, with one or more of the Vols, USCe, or Florida stinking on ice. If Mizzou is having a down year that is another win. All while squatting on an insanely rich recruiting area where your two D-1 rivals both run the triple option.

Arkansas is a small state without a ton of D-1 college players. Texas A&M is stuck in a big state with a ton of other schools. The Mississippi schools not only have to compete against one another for recruits but the rest of the SEC and Southern Miss. USCe has Clemson lurking. Florida has more schools then you can shake a stick at. I can go on here.

You have a ton of advantages and all you can show for it is... a kiss on the cheek.

There is no Big 6 in the modern era of SEC football.

Bama? Sure. Florida? By all means. LSU? They've been there and won that. Auburn? Hell they pulled it off somehow.

Face it, you are part of the little 8 right now and unlike most of the other schools there Georgia has no excuse whatsoever to have done as poorly as they have. Harvest that ton of talent, beat up on the turd teams you play each year, and win a Natty and then we will be talking.

Until then you aren't hot shite on a silver platter. You're just a cold turd on a paper plate.

So, 'allegedly', the College Football Playoff System 'allegedly' had unbeaten LSU ranked #2 in the nation going into the bama game.
So,you did indeed prove you were the better team last year, while LSU faltered. (Although they fought through a ton of key injuries and won their final two games.)
But do you things have to be such MOTHER frickING GODDAMN DICKS about it ??? You're like 6 year old children that need CONSTANT CONSTANT CONSTANT CONSTANT REASSURRANCE and stroking.
What more do you fricking """""""""W A N T"""""""
???????????????????????????

Jesus Ezekial Christ you things stink......(well, some of you).

Based on what? Absolutely we are surprised. you speak as if LSU has owned Bama the last few years. Good lord.

Again, based on what? Bama should and will probably be favored in every game.
