- Both highly-rated out of high school
- Both strong-armed and athletic
- Both thought to be some sort of savior for their respective schools
- Both first-year full-time starters
- Both Sophomores
- Both leaned on a strong running game and defense
- Neither asked to do much offensively

Who is/was better?

2015 Brandon Harris

64-108 / 59.3% / 812 YDs / 6 TDs 0 INT / 7.5 YPA
160 RUSHING YDs / 3 TDs

2012 Jeff Driskel

85-127 / 67% / 929 YDs / 8 TDs 1 INT / 7.3 YPA
321 RUSHING YDs / 4 TDs

Why would we cry? That UF team went 12-2 and finished in the top 10, correct?

Then Driskel by a hair, without anymore context. I think Fournette has limited the need to use Harris more, and I don't think we've seen his best yet.

2012 Florida was also undefeated at this time of the year and finished 11-2.

It's not such an awful comparison.

I'm really not trying to troll. It's more of a cautionary tale to be cautiously optimistic with Brandon Harris and not let the expectations turn him into a scapegoat like Driskel was at Florida.

Good point. And I would say Harris missed an opportunity to kick off his season against a scrub in the warmup, but we might not have used him all that much knowing what Fournette is capable of.

We usually make the OC and/or Miles the scapegoat.

Does that mean that our head coach will be fired two years later after having two of the worst seasons in the past thirty years?

Great comparison, thank you... Now, if your school would have had even a semblance of competent coaching he might have stayed and excelled in Gainesville.
