The GOAT college football player makes his biggest Heisman statement against the most talented LSU defense of Les Miles's career.

But it was a pretty good game

Manziel was a better college player

the knock on Cam will always be that he only played one year, but it was the most dominant year of all time. Sure, Tebow had more TD's one year, maybe JFootball had more yards or something one year, but anyone with a pulse knows Cam is GOAT for that year

This whole statement is just full of absurdity

2010 was LSU's most talented defense, but not its best.

Patrick Peterson
Morris Claiborne
Tyrann Mathieu
Kevin Minter
Ryan Baker
Drake Nevis
Michael Brockers
Sam Montgomery
Barkevious Mingo
Tharold Simon
Craig Loston
Bennie Logan
Karnell Hatcher
Jeez, what an insanely talented defense Les assembled that year. That's as good as it would ever get for them from a talent standpoint.
Just speaks to the caliber of player Cam J. Newton was. We were all lucky to have witnessed him.
Without him on the schedule, LSU's GOAT talented defense carries them to a 12-1 SEC Championship and headed to face Oregon for the national championship.

If Barry Sanders played a 14 game season he'd have 3200 rushing yards and around 45 total TDs. He had hands down the best single season performance IMO.
Manziel had 800 more yards in 1 fewer game.

what did either of them accomplish? Did you actually watch Cam play? If you did, and you're still saying this, you're just a bammer...

Well...both of them won Heismans. And Barry Sanders went on to have one of the all-time greatest careers for a RB in the NFL.
