While putting this video together I had almost forgotten just how good this game was. It was back and forth for a good majority of the game. A herculean effort by Tim Tebow in the 4th quarter is what decided the matter.

Good game, bad ending.
Then again, I don't think we would've beaten OU.

What a game this was. The intensity in that Dome was incredible. Bama's first legitimate "big game" in almost a decade. I knew Florida was better but with a few breaks.....

The guys couldn't have played any harder but UF did what champions do and won the 4th qtr. It was a great learning experience for our guys.

We were walking out of the dome and my BIL said "we'll be back here next year against the same team and we'll be the better team". Spot on.

Great video.

I was at that game. (Been to the majority of UFs SEC Champ games)

That was one that you could tell each of those teams had so much more talent and both 100% deserved to be there. Such a great game.

And I agree. OU would have beaten us like 20-10 or something.

That 2008 team was really good but Florida had more overall speed and talent...

I was thinking that Bama was about 2 more recruiting classes away from being able to dethrone Florida... I was ecstatic that 2009 Bama proved me wrong.. Roll Tide!!

I will still say to this day that Rolando McClain is far and away Saban's best linebacker. I think the picture above best describes the kind of "rivalry" Rolando McClain had with Tim Tebow perfectly.

Still the single hardest loss I have ever felt in my life. I was crushed for weeks.

I was in Texas visiting my parents. A lot of my extended family was going out to dinner that night. My dad and I were way too bummed and so we stayed home. My mom was pissed and kept telling us "You're acting like somebody died."

Fantastic game though and the revenge one year later was so sweet.

I'm not sure anybody faced a tougher 2 game stretch in the bcs era then bama and Oklahoma that year

Those were some tough teams
