Didnt' bama blank auburn 49-0 in 2012? What happened the next year?

Auburn still had Jason Campbell, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams, Carlos Rogers, etc. USC would have beaten them even worse in '04. USC in '04 was better than the '03 team.

AlaBama: they are only in their 20's, while all the SC players are in their 30's...

And LSU beat Auburn 31-7 in 2003 and lost to them in 2004. But I'm sure the auburn team the first game of 2003 would be the exact same team at the end of 2004.

So can we agree 12 Bama would beat 03 USC?

nothing to do with auburn, and more to do with putting the dolt with zero logic in their place

'03 USC was the worst of that 3 year run. 2004 USC was one of the greatest teams of all time...just behind 1995 Nebraska, and maybe a few others.

But...still going with '03 USC. '12 Bama only had one tough away game (LSU).

Now tell us about the offensive coordinators in 2003 and 2004.

Having future NFL talent =/= greatest team of all time. They struggled to win games that year and were not as dominant as '03. Im not saying they werent a great team, but not as good as people retroactively believe

2003 USC lost a game.
2004 USC was the undefeated season with Matt Leinhart Heisman
2005 USC was Reggie Bush Heisman and Vince Young year.

2004-05 were beyond 2003 in so many ways...only a superhuman effort from Vince Young stopped the back2back. 2005 USC was being hailed as "GOAT" before the national championship game.

They may have had the most dominant BCS championship performance of all-time, but they aren't among the best teams ever.

USC had to won a lot of close ones that year, IIRC (Va Tech, Cal, Stanford, UCLA, etc).

LSU was #2 in both final polls. USC was #1 in one poll and Oklahoma in the other. USC did not have an argument with LSU, they had an argument with an Oklahoma team that did not win their conference championship and that got blown out in that game by KSU. That LSU defense would have crushed whomever they played. People can whine all they want, but if you want to see the crystal ball, you have to drive to Baton Rouge.
