Could we see more than 1 sec team in this years college football playoff? With osu cracking and usc falling it's really starting to look that way. I'm sure tcu will get a spot after what happened last year tho. LSU,aTm,uga, ole miss and Alabama all have shots but this is the sec we'll beat each other up week after week. What do you guys think?

Won't be LSU, a one-dimensional team isn't making the playoff

If after the SEC CG there are two teams with one or fewer losses sure. Not guaranteed, but possible.

A two loss team with a really tough OOC schedule could theoretically get in but would need a lot of help, much like LSU in 2007.

Beating cupcakes like A&M so late in the season certainly won't help out case.

They are pimping OSU and MSU (Michigan state) as 2 teams that will be in. If 2 teams from that weak arse conference get in the south might really rise again.

It will be interesting to see if the committee holds the 1 loss Bama or LSU out if they don't win the West. (Assuming they win out)

SEC Champ is definitely in. But you could potentially see a a case where there are 3 teams from the West that have an argument. TCU will lose (Maybe this weekend) and I don't have any faith in Baylor.

If LSU or Ole Miss go undefeated while the other only loses once, I could see it. Other than that, I don't know.

Doubt it bc two Big10 teams (tOSU & MSUn) get in.

There's a better chance of none than two.

Third thread today already on this exact same topic

No conferences will get 2 in is the one and only answer

I think that it far more likely that the SEC has ZERO teams in the playoffs than two teams

There will never be two SEC teams in the playoff. Ever. Ole Miss, Miss St and Bama took care of that in the very first year.

I believe there is a scenario for it

Example
UGA wins out and goes to the SECCG. That gives Bama a second loss. But Bama beats LSU during the regular season as their only loss.

That puts UGA vs LSU in the champ game. Both would likely be in the top four. What happens if LSU wins? They are in, but would UGA be considered?

Never say never. But I will say that when it does, we will have an 8 team playoff.

Bama at 11-1, Lsu at 10-1 and OM at 11-1 , tie breaker would send Bama to the seccg due to their east opponents UGA and UT more than like having the best records.

Bama wins SECG. lSU and OM would be very much in contention and rightfully so for a spot in the cfpo, obviously depending on what happens elsewhere. Especially if there are 2 loss Pac,ACC, B12 winners. Would the cancelled game hurt Lsu?
