2 SEC teams in playoff

I know this has been discussed at nauseam. However I was watching the College playoff show. Imagine this scenario. Clemson goes undefeated, one of Washington or Washington State goes undefeated and one of Alabama or Georgia goes undefeated. Oklahoma wins the big 12 with one loss and Ohio St. wins the big 10 with one loss. Who do you take between the loser of the Georgia vs Bama game, Oklahoma and Ohio State?

That's a very specific scenario and it would depend on how the games played out.
If Ohio State was demolishing people every week, they'd get in. Same story with OU.
IMO the committee will only take two teams from the same conference if there really isn't a viable alternative.
It will happen eventually but it's not going to be a regular thing.

A one loss Bama team that did not make the CCG has a better shot than a team that loses the CCG, IMO.

I think you have to take the loser of Georgia vs Bama. Oklahoma beat Ohio St. Straight up in Ohio. Then lost to unranked Iowa St. at home.

I think if it finishes out that way and it very well could. It goes.
Clemson
Washington/Washington St.
Alabama
Georgia
Clemson

Georgia

The winner of the B1G will be in the playoffs. Period. The B1G and the SEC run college football money period.
Only one of us is getting in. And you cant beat us so..

My view is this:
If the loser of Bama/UGA is worthy of being a top 4 teams and if there is a fifth borderline team at #5, Bama/UGA is an elimination/play in game. Mostly so the scenario that the loser of the SEC game wouldn't be able to play the other SEC team again.
If the other teams are obviously not as worthy, I'd put both SEC teams in.
Oklahoma will lose again

As I've said before, the SEC has lost too much cred, making strength of schedules weaker, and supplying the haters with an excuse to go elsewhere. Also, ratings will be looming around just under the surface.

Funny how the UGA fans are already arguing to be let in when they lose. If they make it.

The only way for two teams to make it in is if they are in the same division and circumstances end with a better team not making the title game
Think last year where one more loss from any other team has Ohio State and Penn State both in the playoffs. This only works with a very strong OOC schedule and a singular close loss to the other team that is perceived worse
I cant think of a single scenario where teams that would meet in the conference title game would both make it. Period.

Not the point. Going by that scenario. Ohio St. Is out because they lost head to head to Oklahoma at home. So then it comes down to UGA/Bama vs Oklahoma. I don't think you can take a team that lost at home to an unranked team over the loser of Georgia/Bama.

Keep thinking that and play Georgia like you all did against A&M and you will find out.

We need a Playoff Scenario board.

They will send a 1 loss conference champion over a 1 loss conference non-champion every time.

They did this year one taking Ohio State
I am aware you have already resigned yourself to losing against us, that is clear by this argument int he first place
Georgia will not be taken if they do not win the SEC title game. Period. Quote me. Million dollars on it

So say Bama loses a nail biter to Georgia in the SEC championship. You don't think Bama would deserve to be in? Gtfoh. You definitely would be on here lobbying for Bama to be #4 and you would be right.

And no, I haven't resigned shite. Thus the statement "The loser of Georgia/Bama."

I personally don't see how a one loss non SEC champ gets in over a one loss OU or tOSU, that won their conference.
You will be fighting against a conference championship, and a big name school.
Fair or not, your name means a bunch in college athletics.
Say LSU has the same resume as UK in basketball, no regular season or tournament title. UK will get the better seed in the tournament. Swap it with baseball, LSU would get the better seed(draw).

The only way this happens is if the Big 10 champion has 2 losses and Alabama/Georgia only have the SEC Championship Game loss.
ETA: With Penn State and Wisconsin being undefeated and Ohio State not having a conference loss I don't think this is even possible FWIW unless they have monumental collapses.
