Don't really care if Germans. Too awesome not to post.

Brandon Harris and Malachi Dupre

quote:

Heavy rains had caused flooding in some parts of Baton Rouge. The woman, who was traveling, accidentally drove into a flooded section of road and her got submerged. She and her son were able to escape from the car, but without their personal belongings. When Harris and Dupre heard that the son was a diabetic and his insulin was still in the car, they dove into the water, grabbed some of the mother and son’s personal belongings (including the insulin) and pulled them out.

Great kids. There is hope for the millennial generation. The coaches have done a fine job of creating this culture as well.

People do not remember that Dural pulled a woman out of a car after an accident where the car was in a ditch.

Seems we have some quality young men on the team.

You'll never hear Gary or Verne mention this but they'll tell you 100 times if a player was suspended and what for.

I thought about starting this thread as well but even better to have a Bama fan start it.

Thanks for posting. Always like to hear of young men showing they have real character, no matter who they play for.

Geez. Bama fan makes a nice post about LSU players showing heroism off the field and you do this? This is about their humanity. We should say good things about Bama players too when they do stuff like this. Reminds us all of what is most important.

Downvote.

That's good to hear. You'll never hear it from the mainstream media but I know they didn't do it for the attention anyways.

Wish there were more stories like this.

On a serious note, I encourage everyone to read the story about the woman they were helping. Her husband had died earlier that day and she was moving up to Baton Rouge from NOLA. Car was filled with all her possessions including many photos of her husband. Your heart has to go out to her and her son. The manager at Walk On's brought them inside and took care of them while others tried to get the insulin out of the flooded car.

That is sad but that isn't the same person Harris and Dupre helped.

This is spot on. I have to remind myself and my kids that we need to do more for others than we do for ourselves.
