That call makes the LSU Alabama game look like the best called game in history.

Take a look at 1995 Alabama-Arkansas.

I know Alabama and Freddie Kitchens got screwed at Auburn in 1997 (?) when they called a game winning TD pass in the back of the endzone out of bounds.

Haha, apparently the bounce pass is legal in football, but only Arkansas knows it.

obvious reception. Would have won us the game too.

I would post the video, but it was taken off of youtube for violation of policy. CONSPIRACY?!?!

A spry and drunk Collette Connell gave the offcials fantastic head prior to the game (again)... she's still the conference offcials' slap and tickle to this day

1995

1997 was the screen pass to Scissum.

YES!
Considering when he was on the ground his feet were still in.

No. There was no replay for a Hodges/Burleson team to look at 3 minutes prior to confirming that horrible call.

At Happy Valley, Bama entered the fourth quarter down 34-7. Scored three tds to get the score to 34-28; drove down to inside the 5 with seconds remaining – apparent td pass in back of the end zone was ruled incomplete. Looked to most as if receiver caught the ball well in bounds.

There's a picture floating around somewhere. It's pretty bad. He's in bounds by like 3 feet.

His entire body landed in the endzone. Later it was revealed that the ref that called him out of bounds was related to a Penn State player that played in the 1979 Sugar Bowl against Bama. I think eventually the guy was banned for officiating for making alot of horrible calls.

Calls are just part of the game. Everyone knows that.

The biggest difference between the two calls is the Gump Penn State call decided the game. The Gump LSU game affected the game but didn't decide it.

Yeah I always wondered about that.

It's the same thing as "Bo over the top" in the 1982 Iron Bowl (I think). I'm really not sure he scored.

It's in the past though. You guys got the best of us a good chunk of the time. It'll be fun to renew the series for a couple of years starting next September. I'm excited for us to play a fellow "old school" team. I miss the pre-Big 10 days when we could play a wide open schedule with good teams from all over.
