10 years since USC and Clemson brawl

I'll never forget watching this at my friend's house and thinking "at least theres some sportsmanship" right before the fight broke out. I think it was the day after the Piston/Pacers fight and my friend's dad said he'd never seen anything like that except for that basketball game. I kept waiting for the fans to start pouring onto the field.
Both teams had a bunch of thugs on them and its incredible to see how far both programs have come from such an ugly incident that could have driven both into the ground for a long time. Especially since USC knew we were gonna have to hire a new coach.
Still laugh about frail little Lou Holtz getting in the middle trying to break it up while Tommy Bowden was hiding out behind the benches

Was anyone arrested from that brawl? Probably should have been.
ETA: Only one worse than that is the Miami-FIU fight

No. We had several players steal shite from the university shortly afterwards though in reaction to the bowl ban we self imposed

Jesus Christ, could you imagine a bunch of white state cops doing that shite to a group of mostly black athletes in the state of South Carolina during this current climate?

I remember very vividly Lou being right in the thick of things trying to split the fight up where as Bowden ran in there and grabbed his QB out and left.

the Miami radio guy during the Miami brawl was also great. he was going off on how great the brawl was and how that is how the U should be

He kinda has a point though. I've heard that USC still refusing to schedule Miami because of the brawl we had in '87

I remember this like it was yesterday. Terrible moment to witness in person, and the one thing that still stands out to me was Yusef Kelly throwing the Gamecock Helmet to the recruits who were at the game after he ripped it off of one of our players.
