SEC Rant did not exist. It was TigerDroppings.com only.

It was pretty much a bunch of LSU fans with a few of us fans of other SEC schools sprinkled in.

It was a tougher, but a better place back then. You could get cursed out in a heartbeat, but people just laughed and moved on. Now they run crying to Chicken with the RA button.

The board was more mature. The juveniles here now were still playing with their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys.

Bammer was sucking so there were not many of them around. Their band wagon exploded in 2009.

Fulmer had sat down on his arse and was riding his laurels and Tennessee would soon start the slide.

LSU was riding pretty high in Les Miles' first year.

UF was starting to roll under Urban.

Auburn had went undefeated the previous year (2004), but had taken it hard, deep, and wide from the BCS.

Next year was UGA's year...AGAIN.

A&M and Mizzou were not even a topic of conversation, much less members. Suggesting that they would become members would have been laughed off.

The rest of the SEC were pretty much also rans at that point.

I wonder what the next 10 years will bring?

1)None of us think we're going to win the title every year. Funny how all our rivals say that yet it isn't actually true

2)We won the SEC that year. We've won half as many SEC titles just in the calendar year that you registered as UT has won since 1991.

Finished that season 10-2 and ranked inside the top ten. We were terrible that year.

Well, when the SEC adds FSU/U to the east and Texas/Oklahoma to the west it will be even worse.
We will have to make a separate UT/A&M Board.

So you registered when Tennessee was actually good? Your story is similar to that bammer bandwagon you referred to.

I think the real story here is that 2005 was 10 years ago. When did 1997 turn into 2015?

Yeah I was about to say a Jamarcus Russell led LSU handed Bama it's 1st loss of the season.

On the day you registered, Bama was undefeated, ranked #4 in the nation, and headed to a 10-2 with a top-10 ranking and a Cotton Bowl win.

Sorry you didn't pass history class.

No, they started the year with high expectations and ranked 3rd in the nation.

They finished the year 5-6 and watching the bowl games on TV.

So it was pretty much just like today. They won the off season and then reality set in.

What? I thought we were for sure gonna win the national championship when we were inserting the back up UVA QB into our starting line up. Not sure what you're talking about

Definitely true with Missouri. They're a Midwest Yankee school who don't belong.

Texas A&M has always been an SEC school, just only recently have we been allowed to come home
