That's a funny statement, but only part true. I don't think he's a horseshite football coach, but he was right about nobody our-recruiting him.

He's a good enough coach to know its more about the horses than anything else

Saban's strengths are his recruiting, his management of the program, and the psychology of success. That last part is often overlooked, but I believe that's what really separates him from other coaches.

My greatest contribution to alabama football was making the call to the finebaum show live from the CFA awards show behind Rich Rod and his wife.

Would love to take the Rant time machine back to the end of 2006/beginning of 2007 and see what the discussion was like on here during the whole Rich Rod snub to Saban hire saga.

I was so relieved, even though things looked bleak at the time. I thought Rich Rod was shite at the time.
